Don’t misunderstand, I’m dumping on Cruz, just thought Rush’s observations were interesting. He even had his staff scouring the internet to see if Cruz was speaking as to why he signed up. He seemed troubled that Cruz wasn’t explaining why he signed up.

When I did standup, the laughs and clapping were what made me enjoy telling jokes. The lights on stage are so bright that you really cannot see the audience. So, if you take away the clapping and do jazz hands, the comedian would think he was bombing.

My two cents is that Rush is off base here. When I read here about Cruz signing up, my first thought was that Cruz has his own motives.

Maybe the family does need the insurance, or maybe they have enough personal wealth that they don’t.

I heard Rush say his staff has been looking all over for information, but IMO it doesn’t make sense for Cruz to telegraph his intentions right now.
