UN Envoy Says Security Council can Force 'Peace Framework' [Israel]

The outgoing UN Middle East envoy said in his last report Thursday that Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu's new coalition government must freeze Jewish construction in eastern Jerusalem, Judea and Samaria for "peace."

The Jewish building threatens to "kill the very possibility of reaching peace," Middle East coordinator for the UN Security Council Robert Serry said.

"Illegal settlement activity cannot be reconciled with the objective of a negotiated two-state solution and may kill the very possibility of reaching peace on the paradigm of two states for two peoples," Serry said.

The envoy said he was "frankly concerned" by Netanyahu's pre-election remarks in which he said no Palestinian state would be founded if he was re-elected - a statement he quickly distanced from, urging the incoming Israeli government to "quickly demonstrate in words, and more importantly by actions" a commitment to peace.

Serry, who served seven years as the UN's point man on the Middle East, told the council in his parting thoughts that the Israeli-Palestinian peace process had become a "can (that) is kicked down an endless road."

That UN Envoy is right in that this is a process for "negotiations" in which the Final Status Talks in forming the Palestinian State, by way of "negotiations" is a "can that is kicked down the road" and never going anywhere.

But the reason for that is that NO ONE is forcing the Palestinian Authority to negotiate. They don't want negotiations, so they continually make up excuses to avoid it ... AND INSTEAD ... ask the UN and other nations to simply DECLARE IT (and without any conditions as would be required ... in doing negotiations).

Prime Minister Netanyahu (on the other hand) is committed to forming a Palestinian State, with megotiations and per his Bar-Ilan speech from 2009.

The problem is ... the world is just getting tired of the whole thing and they're going to just DECLARE IT anyway, even if it doesn't bind the Palestinian Authority to anything!

Obama Says US Considering Support of Palestinian State at UN [Netanyahu & Israel]
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/news/3271959/posts?page=1

JNS.org – President Barack Obama said at a news conference on Tuesday that the US is considering the possibility of supporting the unilateral recognition of a Palestinian state through the United Nations as part of his administration’s ongoing re-evaluation of relations with Israel.

Late last year, the US voted against a Palestinian-initiated resolution in the UN Security Council that called for a Palestinian state with borders based on the pre-1967 lines. The measure garnered eight affirmative votes among the 15-member Security Council, falling just one short of the nine votes it needed to pass.

Obama on Tuesday continued his recent criticism of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in the aftermath of the latter’s re-election, saying, “Netanyahu, in the election run-up, stated that a Palestinian state would not occur while he was prime minister. And I took him at his word that that’s what he meant.” Obama made similar comments in an interview with The Huffington Post that was published last weekend, despite the fact that Netanyahu has reaffirmed his support for a demilitarized Palestinian state that recognizes a Jewish state.

“Afterwards, he (Netanyahu) pointed out that he didn’t say ‘never,’ but that there would be a series of conditions in which a Palestinian state could potentially be created,” Obama said Tuesday. “But, of course, the conditions were such that they would be impossible to meet any time soon.”

Obama is creating a CONTRIVED SITUATION ... that does not exist with Netanyahu. Of course Netanyahu supports a TWO-STATE SOLUTION, just as he’s confirmed in the last few days, per his Bar-Ilan speech, as far back as 2009!

This present situation is Obama LYING about Netanyahu (who hasn’t changed since 2009) in order to have a CONTRIVED EXCUSE to make a MAJOR POLICY CHANGE for the USA.

In the past, both Israel and the USA have supported a Two-State Solution by way of “NEGOTIATIONS” between Israel and the Palestinian Authority. NOW ... Obama wants to abandon the USA’s long-standing policy, and have the Two-State Solution “by DECLARATION” ... which means that nothing will be required of the Palestinian Authority, and they would not be required to sign off on the fact that all problems are solved, as they would have to in the Final Status Negotiations!

They want a “peace treaty” any of us that studies the bible know why; the start of Tribulatiom. The Muzzies think it will cause the rise of the 12th Imam who most think is the true Anti-Christ. Obama was just setting the pins and the precursor. Once Tribulation starts and the athiests and agnostics catch on that this was forecast about 2000 years ago we may have a few new Christians.

Peace to the UN means Israel’s surrender (and probable destruction)

Well, it pays to understand the issue isn’t so much as to the formation of the Palestinian State, as all sides agree to that ... put it relates to HOW it is formed.

For the last twenty years, from the Oslo Accords forward, the end-goal has ALWAYS BEEN (with all parties) the formation of the Palestinian State. The PROBLEM NOW is that the UN and the USA have shifted on the “HOW” part. They now say it should be “Declared” and not done “by negotiations”.

You see ... doing it “by negotiations”, means that Israel’s security concerns will be taken care of and it will also mean that the Palestinian Authority will have obligations that can be enforced and they can have sanctions levied against them for violating them.

But “by DECLARATION” means that there are no considerations for Israel’s security and no obligations for the Palestinian Authority to maintain.

What we have to do is INSIST on the formation of the Palestinian State be done BY NEGOTIATIONS and then have the world community FORCE the Palestinian Authority to engage in those negotiations!

The UN has a two state solution: send Gog and Magog against Israel.

“Final Status Talks” ie, the Final Solution talks.

The TWO-STATE SOLUTION was started in secret negotiations that Israel itself was involved in with the Palestinians. Israel and the Palestinians started this all by themselves. The outcome of those secret negotiations between Israel and the Palestinians was the Oslo Accords, and then all the future interim agreements until now.

It was set up in order to PREVENT the FINAL SOLUTION that you talk about.

That FINAL SOLUTION that “you” talk about is for Israel to annex all the territory where the Palestinians reside (it’s called the ONE-STATE SOLUTION or “Bi-National State”) which would being in about SIX MILLION ARABS into Israel proper ... along with the 20% of the population of Israel who are already full citizens in Israel.

NOW ... “that” (the ONE-STATE SOLUTION vs. the TWO STATE SOLUTION of the last twenty years) would definitely be the FINAL SOLUTION and destruction of Israel. Israel would be an ARAB-CONTROLLED STATE with a few Jews in it!

The U. N...

It gets one thing right in 1948, and spends the rest of it’s existence trying to unright it.

The Arabs on the West Bank and Gaza could have had their nation 67 years ago. They could have had it any time since. They decided not to.

The U. N. can go straight to hell.

It lines up behind evil far to often for my liking.

Well, let’s not say what either Iran or Israel can be “forced” to do ... let’s just ask how well the two countries would merely “hold up” and “function” ... in comparison to one another ... If ALL THE SANCTIONS given to Iran were placed upon Israel, and for that same length of time.

How would Israel fare as a country with those same sanctions, compared to Iran?

My take as well.

Our nation pays it far too much respect.
