Trey Gowdy: Hillary Clinton wiped her server clean
Politico ^ | 3/26/2015 | Lauren French

Hillary Clinton did not hand over new documents to the House panel investigating Benghazi and wiped her server clean of past emails, the committee’s chairman said in a statement Friday.

Clinton did not provide correspondence or emails to the Select Committee on Benghazi, Rep. Trey Gowdy (R-S.C.), said, even though the former secretary of state was under a subpoena, issued early this month, for all correspondence from Clinton’s tenure as secretary of state that focused on Libya and Benghazi.

My thought exactly. Someone has to do something about it.

Far, Far, worse than the 18 minute gap.

Nixon could legitimately claim executive priviledge for his tapes of conversations in the Oval office. There were no laws forbidding the destruction of such tapes at the time.

Hillary has had destroyed likely thousands of emails that were required to be preserved by law, about events far, far more serious than a discussion of a political burglary months after the fact.

Hillary’s emails while secretary of state likely have direct national security implications, with potential release of classified information, and bribery by foreign governments.

She is continuing the Clinton Presidency legacy.

Trey may have the balls to do it. But does he have the power to do it?

According to the Constitution, law enforcement and incarceration are the province of the Executive Department. That means Eric Holder and the DOJ have to get involved.

Absolutely nothing will come of this.

"I might agree with you and the other doomsayers on this thread, except that The New York Times broke this story, no matter their reasons for doing so. No doubt they intend to aggressively follow it through. They still want to sell papers."

The New York Times has put agenda over profits for at least 30 years. This shows that the administration wants Hillary gone. The Obama administration has no love of the Clintons, and they want their chosen successor in the White House. I do not know who that will be; but this tactic of destroying the opposition candidate by leaking damaging information to a friendly media has been how Obama has won most of his elections, especially those in Chicago. It is what the Obama administration does.

ALL we're going to get it a WHOLE LOT of PONTIFICATING but NOTHING will be DONE.

Someone give Mr. Gowdy a cookie and tell him to go fix his hair.

Once met somebody who said the Air Force base he was stationed at had a burn hole where they melted the hard drives with a thermite charge.

Why would HRC be under stress when the American people always give her a free pass?

Because this time it's different. She's not worried about Gowdy - she's worried about who's behind this whole email scandal release. And they're not stopping.

Get that server. The data may still be there depending on how they ‘wiped’ it clean.

Well by golly, it’s certainly worked in the past for her with business associates, why not with a hard drive?

“Most Americans are so damn dumb this will happen.”

That includes the 3-4 million so-called conservatives who want only their canidate or none and not getting him nominated will sit home and not vote - as they have for the past two presidential elections giving us BHO twice; this includes many FRers.

Well, Gowdy is from Greenville; what are people there like?

People here are quite conservative, per the people who phone into talk radio. They are very opinionated.
However, they re-elected Lindsay Graham.

2008: 60.1% turnout, Bush 62 million votes (50.7%)

2012: 58.2% turnout, Romney 61 million votes (47.2%)

Pretty hard to find 3-4 million proven conservative votes missing, even if it is wildly claimed all Bush reelection voters were actual conservatives.
