The “its ok if our country is an open sewer, as long as the checkbook balances” position is untenable, regardless of public opinion. Without a Judeo-Christian underpinning to our culture, our entire system of government is unworkable. If that is tilting at a windmill, so be it.

If you believe that then you’ve already lost not only America but your families future as well.
Marriage as it was originally defined and practiced for tens of thousands of years is a thing so critical to culture that a country is doomed when it abandons and erases that legacy. It is far better to be in a tireless and persecuted minority on this issue than to be a popular and powerful majority. Simply because in the long run such a majority as a population has little to no future.
I'm sorry to say that twenty years ago I helped advance the political careers of a couple of these clowns, back when they were still pretending to be conservatives.

I think your looking at the wrong measure of victory. Your thinking about winning an election when you should be far more concerned about winning the race for cultural survival.
When meaningfully marriage becomes a losing issue so to does necessarily the family which depends upon it. That is like it or not precisely what has happened in every community where marriage was defined as exclusively about the feeling of its human members, rather than the commitment to children.
You don’t sustain or even go thou great pains to create a union on the basis of a feeling that already exist and is sustained and lost independently. Union’s exist for a separate more tangible propose all together and in the case of marriage that union was for children, just as it was for life.
But there is no natural or sustainable reason anyone should expect that two people of the same sex to produce children and thus be in any need for marriage. Thus marriage functionally is a man- woman affair by the laws of nature.
But of course as you have pointed out people have forgotten that fact driven by the same deceptive Hollywood and leftist entertainment and education industry for the last 100+ years. This original, and meaningful union has been all but written out of history leaving only a name that now belies its propose and history.
Frankly most people who get married today are liers and ministers need to point that out to them. If your ‘union’ is subject to divorce for no reason, and not about children & family till death do you part its not a marriage. Its just a fancy that is no better or improved by our recondition and acceptance than it was when you created it.
Simply put when a union exist on the basis of the feelings ‘love’ of its members then it needs no recognition, support, or acceptance by any other party. Only when a union is founded around something external such as children does external recognition and support make any difference. That is the propose of marriage, and the more we remind people of that the better our long term prospects as a civilization. We don’t need a majority to prevail here we simply have to be tireless in our adherence to the basic truth behind true marrage as to surive and out last the foolish ones who have abandoned the concept in all but name, and will as a result fall.
This is how we save our civilization not our party, becase in the end a party without a civilization isen’t really worth anything.
