Obama Offers Major Blueprint on Climate Change
NYT ^ | March 31, 2015 | By CORAL DAVENPORT

WASHINGTON — The White House on Tuesday morning unveiled President Obama’s blueprint for cutting United States greenhouse gas pollution by nearly a third over the next decade.

Mr. Obama’s plan, part of a formal submission to the United Nations ahead of efforts to forge a climate change accord in Paris in December, detailed the United States side of an ambitious joint climate change pledge the president made in November in Beijing with the Chinese president Xi Jinping.

In an effort to spur other countries to enact their own domestic climate change plans leading to the Paris accord, the leaders of the world’s two largest greenhouse gas polluters offered the outline of a set of climate actions. Mr. Obama said the United States would cut emissions 26 to 28 percent by 2025, while Mr. Xi said that China’s emissions would drop after 2030.

Environmental groups praised the plan — particularly the fact that the pollution cuts can be achieved without new action from Congress.

By my math he’d have to round up about 80 million of us and stop us from breathing in order to meet that target.

And how much will it cost us. No one ever seems to ask this simple but important question.

It’s not about the climate...

Never has been...that’s just the vehicle that is being used.

And how much will it cost us. No one ever seems to ask this simple but important question.

Just like no one ever ask where the replacement electricity will come from after more coal fired plants are shut down because of the EPA’s new mercury standards.

How much will it cost to replace those plants? How many jobs will be lost because “electricity cost will necessarily skyrocket?”

When energy prices go up people die because they can’t afford air conditioning in the summer or heat in the winter.

The price of good intensions in pretty high in dollars and in lives.

In 1996, former Soviet Union President Mikhail Gorbachev emphasized the importance of using climate alarmism to advance socialist Marxist objectives: “The threat of environmental crisis will be the international disaster key to unlock the New World Order.”

Speaking at the 2000 U.N. Conference on Climate Change in the Hague, former President Jacques Chirac of France explained why the IPCC’s climate initiative supported a key Western European Kyoto Protocol objective: “For the first time, humanity is instituting a genuine instrument of global governance, one that should find a place within the World Environmental Organization which France and the European Union would like to see established.”

you should be a little more accurate- “MAN_CAUSED climate change is not happening” Our climate did change, and constantly changes, but man is NOT responsible for it

It’s not about the climate; never has been...that’s just the vehicle that is being used]

In May 1919, at Dusseldorf, Germany, the Allied Forces obtained a copy of the “Communist Rules for Revolution.” Nearly 95 years later, they have nearly succeeded in every area.

1. Corrupt the young: get them away from religion. Get them interested in sex. Make them superficial; destroy their ruggedness.
2. Get control of all means of publicity. Get peoples’ minds off their government by focusing their attention on athletics, sexy books, plays and other trivialities.
3. Divide people into hostile groups by constantly harping on controversial matters of no importance.
4. Destroy the peoples’ faith in their natural leaders by holding the latter up to contempt, ridicule and . (speak against, condemnatory utterances)
5. Always preach true democracy; but seize power as fast and as ruthlessly as possible.
6. By encouraging government extravagance, destroy its credit; produce fear of inflation, rising prices and general discontent.
7. Foment strikes in vital industries; encourage civil disorders and foster a lenient and soft attitude on the part of government toward these disorders.
8. By special argument cause a breakdown of the old moral virtues; honesty, sobriety, continence, faith in the pledged word, ruggedness.
9. Cause the registration of all firearms on some pretext with a view of confiscation of them and leaving the population helpless.

Vladimir Lenin - 1917 nine item, “Communist Rules for Revolution.”

Climate change intervention is nothing more than a means to allow government to further control our lives.

Unfortunately, no one knows if the intervention will be productive or counter productive over various time frames: 1,2,5,10,20,50,100, or 200 years ahead.

For the same reason we can’t predict degree of cloud cover over any given location and time on the east coast more than 30 days away with any accuracy (i.e. 85% correct).

Long range climate is just as unpredictable.

What can we expect when Boner and McConnell have taken impeachment and even shutting down a part of the government (like the EPA) off the table? Hussein is just taking the opportunity that the GOP has handed him. And I blame the whole GOP because both Boner and McConnell were elected by their caucus with no opposition. The so-called revolt against Boner was just kabuki since the real decision was made behind closed doors in their meeting where if reports are correct his selection was unanimous.
