I really like Cruz Martinez. A successful female Hispanic governor. Cruz should announce this ticket right now. Give people a chance to meet her, and have more time to overcome the bashing Palin received.
The road will be a long one—in the end almost anyone might get the nod in a brokered convention—Maybe Mittens? Palin? Trump? My Bet Scott Walker will be given the VP slot-—Cruz is a wild card—could be the candidate to winn or not. It will not be Jeb Bush—even if the MSM is rootin for him. Look to a dark horse this time—a conservative from the south. Maybe Newt? Third times a charm.
It's not his year yet.
He wouldn't be the first governor to stumble entering the national stage (Mike Pence comes to mind), but that doesn't mean that he lacks potential.
He certainly was a leader in state government.
I dont like Karl Rove, but in a Fox interview today he acknowledged that Cruz is a serious contender. Maybe the establishment is beginning to see the handwriting on the wall.
Walker is still in the lead ahead of all of them, and he hasn’t even announced yet. I’d be quite happy to see him or Ted nominated.. even better as a team!
To clarify my earlier comment... Walker leads in the most recent FNC poll. Hadn’t seen the Monmouth survey.
Yeah, I can see that he did have success as governor, and I do respect that.
But when I ask myself is this man a leader, does this man have leadership qualities...I am not able to answer in the positive, at least not yet.
I really love a line from Braveheart, one of my all time favorite movies-
If you would just lead them to freedom, they would follow.
What America needs is a leader, not a governor, and she needs a bold leader.
“I really like Cruz Martinez.”
I’ve also been thinking Cruz/Martinez, just in the event that some say Cruz is not an authentic enough Hispanic.
He and his campaign staff
I totally missed the day Walker announced he is running for President. What a day that must have been.

You do understand that candidates hire staff and begin building their campaign organizations well BEFORE they make a formal announcement?
I know exactly where Cruz stands on Obamacare. I know where he stands on environmentalism. I know where he stands on ethanol. I know where he stands on gay marriage, which is really religious liberty. I know where he stands not just on issues, but on the philosophy that determines the stand on the issue. That I already know where he stands on these things, makes Walker look sorely deficient, at least for 2016.
As I say, we don't have a lot of time to 2016. The primary races are a stacked deck favoring the Republican left. My voice hasn't been heard in a Republican party presidential primary for I don't know how long. It's long decided by the time it comes to my state.
We don't have a lot of time, and we only have one shot, theoretically, via the Republican party, because conventional wisdom writes off third-party runs as no help to conservatism. So IF that's true, "we" Republicans had better nominate the real deal. Which means, dispense with the formalities and get behind one guy NOW.
I swear, the closer we get to 2016, the more I'm convinced Cruz ought to just run third party Independent. From my POV, it seems Walker represents Republicans. Cruz represents limited government Christian conservatism, and independence from overburdening government.
Most Americans hold Republicans in contempt as much as they hold Democrats in contempt, and with good reason. Independents aren't "middle of the road" people, they are Other Side of the Road of the Uniparty people.
Have them run together.
Who is Hillary Clinton going to bring? That fake indian?
Yes I do. That does not dismiss the fact that he has not announced. Only one person is running for President. Tomorrow will be two people. Period.
Yeah, that is what I like about him. He just puts it right out there, take it or leave it, he’s an honest man, and that is what matters to me the most. Lies are destroying my country, one fights lies with truth.
As far as the upcoming election goes, Ted Cruz is my guy. I don’t know if he can win the nomination or the general, but I am going to do what I can to see that he does.
He is the only one that I have seen do what needs to be done in America, and that is tell the plain, simple truth.
To me everyone else looks like they are just jockeying for position or trying to climb the ladder, and I do not care at all what happens to them.
I do not believe that they have what it takes, therefore their potential candidacies are of no importance to me.
Those around here that say cruz or lose. I know why they say it, and I agree with it.
If he wins, that will matter.
Ted Cruz is/was my only choice...But then I learned that he was part of the Bush White House...His wife work(s) for Goldman Sachs as one of the uppity ups, the recipient of billions of dollars of my taxes...
Then I learned that she was a member of the Council on Foreign Relations, the NWO crowd, and she worked to promote the new North American Union...
Apparently Ted is not as anti-amnesty as I thought and I learned he wants to bring in a few more hundred thousand H1B foreign workers...
Man, what a mess...
In that case, let everyone go for Bush.
My wife belongs to the Wednesday Afternoon Bridge Club. I suppose that makes her a subversive and me a FReeper of questionable loyalty, too.
I’m fine with Walker/Cruz. Or Cruz/Walker. They’re both young. One could succeed the other.
Me too.
That's not even worth a response...
