A 2009 NCIS investigation into Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl’s activities while in Afghanistan reveal that there is clear evidence Bergdahl was “going over to the other side with a deliberate plan,” Lt. Col. Anthony Shaffer said on Fox News' "The O'Reilly Factor" Monday night.

Shaffer, a former military intelligence officer and Fox News contributor, said two senior sources told him that the Naval Criminal Investigative Service investigation included a forensic review of his computer, which show Bergdahl’s apparent intent to travel to Uzbekistan.

“He was going to go off to Uzbekistan,” Shaffer told Fox News’ Bill O’Reilly. “He had made contact with local Afghans and wanted to be moved to Uzbekistan and then made contact with the Russians because he wanted to talk to Russian organized crime ...

So what.

The Islamic Army of Hasan (once the US Pentagon)
and its White Mosque will protect the traitor,
will release more terrorists to rape and kill,
and will leave REAL captured heroes (held by Iran)
.... in prison to rot.

And the Obama admins excuse (via tweet) was that Bergdahl was just following his conscience and that was why the abandoned his post. That is total BS, of course.

The truth is that Obama wanted to follow through on a promise to close gitmo and so he released the five Taliban leaders. He figured that he could use Bergdahl as cover to add legitimacy.

Should be another nail in the administration’s coffin. But it won’t be.

OK so the evidence is showing Bergdahl was a traitor, a defector to the enemy. There is also evidence showing he was possibly collaborating with the Taliban by revealing the positions of US troops which resulted in US casualties.

Barack Obama is the President of the United States. It goes WITHOUT SAYING he KNEW all this BEFORE he released 5 Taliban commanders. He knew, possibly even confirmed Bergdahl was an enemy combatant.

Therefore what Obama did is TREASON! Pure blatant, hardcore TREASON. The code is extremely clear, HELLO Republican party, what the F are you doing about it?

18 U.S. Code § 2381 - Treason

“Whoever, owing allegiance to the United States, levies war against them or adheres to their enemies, giving them aid and comfort within the United States or elsewhere, is guilty of treason and shall suffer death, or shall be imprisoned not less than five years and fined under this title but not less than $10,000; and shall be incapable of holding any office under the United States.”

Reminiscent of Nicholas Berg. A naive, Jewish Leftist who was seeking out Al Qaeda while roaming Iraq as an ‘independent contractor’. He was told to leave Iraq. But he indeed found Al qaeda and became a useful idiot for the ROP. His father's reaction after he was beheaded, blaming Bush (of course), was truly difficult to watch. But one wonders if it was the raving Leftist father who put his son up to being used as a pawn to hurt the Bush Admin. Notice the Taliban didn't behead Bergdahl though. He WAS useful to them, for intel on our troop movements and then to get the 5 most dangerous terrorists on the planet released. The Obama Admin’s destruction of our once great country will take decades to repair. And that will only happen if we can figure out how they manipulated the elections to give Obama 8 full years to destroy this country that true patriots love.

Nothing will matter in the end. Obama will give him back pay, full benefits, a medal....as long as he gets another shot at grabbing Bowie’s moms butt.

Whoever managed the Bergdahl trade....probably never asked the Army for their report on the guy or avoided discussing this side of the deal entirely. He likely believed everything the family said and just figured it’d all work out.

Personally, for the defense lawyer on this case...I think the only way to play this is to say Bergdahl was ‘nuts’ as he graduated high school....went off to Coast Guard boot-camp....failed that boot-camp....and then got the Army to waiver him for their boot-camp. The Army will provide more than enough witnesses to say he was nuts from day one on...just use them and confess to being a nutcase. If you go any other route...you lose the case and Bergdahl sits in a prison for the rest of his life.

Nothing will matter in the end.

I have a question. If you truly believe that, why expend the time and energy to participate here? The tenor of your comment is not rare. It's actually pretty common. Some would call it defeatism or maybe morale busting.

Something wrong here. NCIS is a Navy investigative service.

The Army, uses it's counterpart, the CID for internal Army investigations. This would be one of those.

That doesn't mean that information couldn't be shared between the respective services. It just doesn't sound right as reported.

Or maybe Obama didn’t care. In his haste to “close gitmo” he didn’t either care or didn’t check.

Good catch. I think it’s quite remarkable that the case has even gotten this far.

I had the same thought on why NCIS is doing the investigation that should be conducted by CID. There may be some reason that makes sense but it certainly doesn’t on its face. Either way, seems everybody’s busy stating the obvious while the wheels of the military legal system grind exceedingly slow.
