It's Official: Supermodel Gisele Bündchen Retiring From the Runway (Tom Brady's wife)

First she was. Then she wasn’t. Now she’s officially hanging up her heels. According to a report in a Brazilian newspaper, Gisele Büdnchen is stepping down from her catwalk duties to focus on her editorial work.

“Automatically, my body tells me if what I do is worth it, and it asked to stop. I respect my body, it’s a privilege to be able to stop,” she says, according to a report picked up by Yahoo!. And it doesn’t surprise us that the woman who once said she didn’t want to treat her body like a “garbage disposal” during her pregnancy is incredibly in-tune with what that body wants. “I’ve learned to listen to my body,” she reportedly said.

She won’t be laying low, though, according to the report. “I don’t see how to continue [modeling on the catwalk],” she said ?”and stopping will leave room for other projects I have for myself.” And boy, does she have a lot of projects. Last year she racked up at least 16 campaigns, handily earning her the title of Forbes’s highest-paid model, who reportedly raked in about $47 million in 2014. So yeah, we don’t think her runway retirement will hurt her too badly.

Not that I care. I've gotten plenty of trophies in my day. I don't need one from a curmudgeon who goes onto threads about two of the most famous people on the planet just so he can say, "I've never heard of them."

I follow only WKU sports...could care less about the NFL. I’ve never heard of them and don’t even know how they relate to the NFL.

I know the kids who played for WKU who are in the NBA or playing pro FB. I seriously couldn’t even tell you who played in the superbowl. I know that Romeo Crennel coached the Browns only because we was a line backer at WKU in the early 70s.

I’ve seriously never heard or even seen these people before. But then again, I don’t make an effort to drool over so-called celebrities.

She’s a model, more specifically a Victoria’s Secrets model. It’s her body that’s made her a fortune, and she has superb bone structure in her face, long neck, etc. Not necessarily MY idea of ‘pretty” (as I posted above, I think her hub is ‘prettier’) but she ‘cleans up’ pretty damned good.

*Somebodies* think she’s pretty (and shapely) enough to pay her FORTY SEVEN MILLION DOLLARS ($47,000,000.00) in ONE year!
