PHILADELPHIA — A disgraced ex-police officer testifying against his drug squad colleagues acknowledged Tuesday that he stole drug money, planted evidence and lied on police paperwork too many times to count.
Jeffrey Walker told jurors that the Philadelphia Police Department drug squad targeted white "college-boy ... khaki-pants types" who were "easy to intimidate."
That matches the description of some of the drug dealers who have testified at the six-week police corruption trial that the squad stole as much as $110,000 at a time during violent, no-warrant raids.
Lead defendant Thomas Liciardello always got a cut of the stolen money, while the others split "jobs" that they worked, Walker said. The city's police brass often celebrated the squad's work with splashy news conferences to announce large seizures.
"They liked that, as far as the bosses and supervisors were concerned. It made them look good. It was nothing but a dog and pony show," Walker testified.
More than 160 drug convictions have been overturned since Walker pleaded guilty and the others were named in a 26-count indictment. Scores of civil-rights lawsuits are pending over the arrests. Police Commissioner Charles Ramsey has voiced his disgust with the squad's alleged crimes while continuing his effort to clean out and reform the 7,000-member department...

ever notice how cops pull over cars for traffic violations?....more often than not, they pull over middle class type vehicles...because they know they'll not argue, just pay...
if they go after the richy rich cars, they know they'll be a court battle...and if they go after trashy cars, they know that there will be no money to pay fines...

between this and the TSA agents fixing the computer screening to allow one male pervert to feel up good looking men, I'm just at a loss...

I’ve had many interactions with cops over the years. Great majority are good, fair men doing a job I wouldn’t want to do and appreciate them doing it.

Meanwhile in Philly tonight a homeless white man lies comatose in hospital after having been attacked by a bunch of teenage blacks - not a mention yet of it being a “hate crime” - but with everyone from black television commentators to the likes of Rev Al Sharpton to the black mayor of Philly to the black Attorney General of the US to the black president constantly peddling the idea that blacks are always being disrespected and disadvantaged by whites, what can we expect but that whites become targets.....

Well, it IS Philly after all. They say that in Philly the definition of an honest cop is one that stays bought.
The defenders of the TSA agents actions will be along shortly. At the moment, they have the actions of two others to defend. Just give them time, they will be here.

Watch the video of the guy getting shot by the 73 year old Cop in Oklahoma and notice the tattoos on one of the cop’s arm. They act like the thugs they arrest because they ARE like the thugs they arrest. Lots of times they both have guns. But only one has a badge and the freedom to do anything he wants.
you know, the tattoo comment struck me. there is an officer now at the HS football games here, a new guy, and I noticed during last season that he had the largest neck tattoo, he looked like a total thug. i have no idea what it says, it’s in some sort of cursive or gang script.
Sorry, but this is a common complaint in all major cities! The police are becoming much more corrupt and seems to be proportional to the number of citizens available to fleece..
Moving to the suburbs seems to be the only answer at this time.
I got news for ya. Google the 39th district scandal or the 5 squad. This has been going on for 40 yrs in the philly narcotics. These are just a list of the newest characters.
Investigate depts. like that one everywhere, and offer the evidence to the Public Integrity Section of the Dept. of Justice.
