Homeland Insecurity Is Buying Up AR-15 Ammo
Moonbattery ^ | 4/16/15 | Dave Blount

Posted on 04/16/2015 5:26:32 PM PDT by markomalley

Liberals haven’t been able to ban all-purpose sporting rifles (or “assault rifles” as authoritarians call them), so they went after AR-15 ammo. But they encountered enough resistance that they had to back down for now. In the meantime, they are trying another tack: buying up the ammo with our money:

U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) intends to solicit offers to Request for Proposal (RFP) HSBP1015R0025 for .223 Remington (.223 Rem) Caliber Training Ammunition for Department of Homeland Security (DHS) locations nationwide, including those in the continental U.S., Alaska, Hawaii, Guam, the Northern Marianna Islands, Puerto Rico, and U.S. Virgin Islands. …

Estimated quantity is approximately 12,600,000 (12.6 million) rounds of .223 Rem training ammunition per year, totaling 62,500,000 (62.5 million) over the life of the contract.

If the government buys up enough, .223 will be as hard to find as .22LR has been for the past few years.

And of course, government contracts are fulfilled before manufacturing for the public. Here we go again with high prices and shortages.

Baloney. That would be like the FDA trying to solve obesity by buying up potato chips. It’s a cheap consumable, more will be made.

Buy Baby Buy... Good as Gold when the bovine excrement hits the rotary blades. .22 is also a good, great investment.

And protecting us from ebony wood guitar frets that were not finished in India, because there is also ebony wood in Madagascar and it could have come from there. Yeahhhh,,,,,that.

Will they be sending the weapons to ISIS in Mexico,
or just to the cells in the USA?

Reloading components, tools, and knowledge might be a good investment too, especially for younger shooters.

Looks to me like Homeland Security is planning to go to war.

It’s only mandate is U. S. Citizens and foreign nationals on our soil, and we know damn well they aren’t going after illegals.

This means they are planing to go to war with us.

This agency should be severely restructured immediately.

Which presidential candidate was it that has a bill to get rid of this useless (wasteful, oppressive?) agency?

A couple of TX ranchers were interviewed on WIBC radio today. One of them reported some AR armed illegals crossing his property. Border Patrol came out and told the couple they had no intention of doing anything about it.

NEVER FORGET.. It was our government that failed to defend us on 9-11 from illegal immigrants, etc and that has failed to defend our nation from being invaded across our borders.

Yet they (the establishment wanting our jobs in China and Mexicans infiltrating at $5/hr, and Americans volunteering to die in foolish corrupt wars for what, and Wall Street being bailed out) have all encouraged a policy of putting average Americans, including many vets, our firearms, and taxpaying citizens under a microscope of surveillance as though we had something to do with these travesties against our nation. The problem is beyond the left and right.
