REPORT: One of the Koch brothers just revealed which Republican 2016 candidate they support

Two of the most prominent and influential megadonors in the Republican Party reportedly have picked their man in the 2016 presidential race: Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker (R).

According to The New York Times, David Koch told a Monday gathering of GOP donors that he and his fellow billionaire brother, Charles Koch, want Walker in the White House.

"We will support whoever the candidate is," Koch said at the Manhattan event, according to Times reporter Nick Confessore's sources. "But it should be Scott Walker."

The Koch brothers are two of the most free-spending donors in American politics, and they have a vast network of rich allies to help fund their various political organizations. Indeed, they reportedly plan on spending close to $1 billion in 2016, and liberals have long sought to make them the face of a broken campaign finance system.

Walker has proven administrative experience, able to reduce budgets and is fierce in confronting the “free stuff” Nazis.

Not exactly good news for conservatives wanting tough immigration laws enforced - now!

Koch bros. support illegal aliens continued employment in U.S. (Americans for Prosperity, support lax immigration enforcement.)

Cruz has the blessing of Goldman

Do you have any real proof of that or just your assertions?

I think you mean "Walker" not Waler but being pro-life doesn't mean actually working to do everything under the sun to end this evil practice.

I found that out, sadly, by voting for the "pro-life Catholic" who turned out to do nothing on that issue but sign every Socialist bill to come her way!

The Kochs are pro-amnesty and pro-homo marriage.

It makes me suspicious of anyone they endorse. Those two issues will almost exclusively determine for whom I will vote for, and whether I’ll even vote at all. Any GOP candidate weak on those can frankly go to hell for all I care.

Wow many of the socialist moles came out in full force on this thread to smear Scott Walker who has defeated democrats to pass conservative laws more than anyone in history.

The fact is Scott Walker has passed more conservative laws than anyone in history and I’ll list some of his accomplishments which can be fact checked. Conservative results show who Scott Walker is not liberal media words nor who supports him etc. Actions ,results and a record are what matter.

Scott Walker is miles ahead of the other candidates or anyone again on immigration .
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/3281362/posts
Not only is Walker against illegal immigration but also keeping legal immigration down. This I agree with and don’t trust the others on it especially not Rubio nor Jeb who want the 3rd world to move to the USA. I see my city and many parts of the USA overrun by 3rd world foreigner immigrants. They take our jobs and vote for socialism. ENOUGh

also Look at Scott Walker’s RECORD as governor

1. lowered taxes
2. passed conservative laws over democrat and media opposition
3. passed right to work laws
4. balanced the budget while cutting taxes and turning a huge deficit into a surplus
5. acted against climate change and against unions
6. many more conservative results
7. defeated democrats more than anyone in history to pass conservative laws and he’s been governor only a short time
8. defeated democrats in several elections already some recall elections
9.public employee unions - we have no seniority or tenure,

10.we can hire and fire based on merit,

11.we can pay based on performance,

12.we’re the 25th state in the nation to have Right-To-Work,

13.we require photo ID for voting,

14.we’ve defunded Planned Parenthood

15.pushed pro-life legislation

16.we’ve passed concealed carry and castle doctrine,

17.we cut taxes by $2 billion—in fact property taxes are lower today than they were four years ago.

Actions, results matter. Walkers record is unmatched in history and he’s been governor only a short time

Scott Walker as president could restore America that the Obama communist is destroying . Obama is being a dictator .Obama illegally passed Amnesty with a wave of his hand after Congress refused to. Also obama is ordering his FCC gestapo to regulate the Internet with Soros researched laws. those are just 2 examples of how the communist Obama is destroying America and freedom and opportunity .

Adelson gives more money to the GOP than the Koch brothers and after the Iran deal look for him to open the wallet.

I am sure between Steve Wynn and Adelson is the reason Harry Reid called it a day.

Adelson sounds like a good guy too.

The monsters I hate are Obama and Soros . Soros funded net neutrality research and Obama ordered the FCC to regulate the Internet using Soros research. the FCC probably will start regulating the Internet on 4/26/15 . nice talking to all of you. RIP Internet and human freedom. we have 5 days of freedom left

I would come out and vote for Walker or Cruz, staying home if it’s Bush.

Neither will Cruz and neither will Rand Paul - no one will and if you think anyone will, you are fooling yourself.

I agree with you. The sheer ignorance demonstrated here makes me fear for this country. I don’t mind if someone supports someone else, but the sheer and wanton ignorance about specific candidates are breathtaking.

The good news: Most Cruz supporters (I prefer him) like Walker. I think most Walker supporters like Cruz.

These two are our best candidates since Reagan, both in one year.

I try to repeat this every day: A ticket made up of one of these two at the head would be good. A ticket with both of them would be the best to win AND the best possible duo to actually reverse the evil of the past six years and beyond.

I am strongly suspicious of Walker because he can point to good things in Wisconsin, which is fine. I gave him $$$ for the recall election.

Walker appears to be mushy on the marriage-religious freedom issue in this country in the face of the tyranny of the gay marriage advocates and their corporate allies.

All I get is this “Big and Bold” slogan with no specifics behind it.

The immigration position Walker takes must be unacceptable to those who want “comprehensive immigration reform” or whatever other cover name they come up with for Amnesty.

If the C of C or other pro-Amnesty forces like Walker’s immigration position, then Walker is wrong.

Cruz would be better than the alternatives other than Walker, IMHO, but I don't trust anyone out of the elite East Coast schools anymore. None of them.

Well into the sixties people from the second tier schools in the East felt an obligation to this country and were very patriotic but the vast majority of people churned out by big name schools ceased to care about America any more than any other country all the way back with Wilson.

Walker fought tough battles and never gave so much as an inch meaning there's a good chance he'd do the same were he President. If it can't be Walker, Cruz will do but is in the "remains to be seen" category as far as I'm concerned.

Why people get their panties in a wad so badly when anyone doubts their favorite is a bit of a mystery to me, especially given the record of every other "Conservative" hero that's been elected to so much as dog catcher in the past thirty years.

That's a good solid position.

The reason I prefer Cruz is his ability to verbalize the American dream, to describe why conservatism is not only a good position for America, but the best one. He deals with media interviews and their gotcha tactics better than anyone I've seen, he knows how to handle them better than all the candidates put together. He has a great vision. The next president needs that ability he has.

I respect the strengths of Walker, I prefer the strengths of Cruz.

The two of them together would be our best shot at a turn around from the political side of things.
