Gov. Jerry Brown has received hundreds of comments and shares of a photo showing him posing with a snake.
The photo posted on Brown's Twitter and Facebook pages over the weekend shows Brown, dressed casually, holding a stick to the head of a snake.
A spokesman for the governor, Evan Westrup, said the photo was taken by Brown's wife, Anne Gust Brown, just outside Williams in Colusa County. The governor owns rural property there.
It looks too big to be a Western Diamondback.
Did he violate the Endangered Species Act?
One of his relatives?
Ok, there are 2 snakes in the photo. Which is the snake again?
Wow, that is a dangerous looking reptilian. Oh, and the snake looks kinda big as well.
The damn speciest thinks he is superior to a reptile? There’s nothing worse than speciesism. I demand equal bathroom rights for all species. I demand reparations on behalf of Brown’s reptile ancestors who were wiped out of existence by Brown’s father’s construction of water reservoirs. What about transgender reptiles? Social Justice Reptiles, Unite!

Brown’s SUV had actually run over the reptile earlier when the Governor and his wife arrived at their rural retreat.

This country has become silly and I still cannot accept what has happened.
no wonder my 83 year old mother rarely leaves the house, except when I take her to AC to gamble, lol, or she stays at my rich sister’s house lol.
She watches mass several hours a dy. Says rosary for an hour, and watches Murder She Wrote and Bonanza and The Rifleman. Has cell phone but no internet doesn’t want it.
C’mon Moonbeam the poor snake was just looking for water. Lord knows it’s hard for man and beast to find H2O in Kookifornia these days.

My cynicism ALWAYS kicks in when ‘questionable’ persons lay claim to feats such as this.

Less than half the size of the biggest one I’ve encontered.

The snake is the only creature that even wanted to be near this reprobate. He has the blood of California all over his liberal Democrat hands.
