Nearby, we have a store that sells food and products past their expiration date.
I thought it wad illegal. It’s not.
The dogfood was rotted. The rice was filled with bugs. The toothpaste was ineffective. And the batteries each lasted 30 seconds.

Actually, no. The 99cent and the dollar general and family dollar actually have fresh stuff. Sometimes, even the fresh produce is better than the supermarkets.
This store I went to actually advertise that the stuff is past the expiration date.
Their biggest customers are low end food trucks and the homeless.
