Oh where to begin? First, conservatives want special payouts and breaks for corporations slashed too. Second, a tax cut is not the same as spending. Third, as much as I'd like to see it, no Republican has proposed "slashing" Medicare, Medicaid, food stamps, unemployment etc. They have proposed modest cuts or stopping the increase in the rate of growth.

Still promoting the ‘Romney is rich, therefore evil’ meme, despite stories of Obama’s under-construction Oahu compound costing millions of dollars that no reporter shows any interested in tracing to a source.
He didn't "grow up to be a gazillionaire." He started a company, Bain Capital, putting his own capital at risk, and the company became extremely successful. Clearly Mother Jones (and all the other left-wing "Mothers") have a problem with that. They prefer that your fortune be accumulated by shady dealing and bribery while claiming to be performing "public service." (See, "Reid, Harry" and "Clinton, Bill and Hillary.")

The GOPe does not help the Conservative cause with its actions. Jeb Bush is a Romney repeat in terms of wealth and being out of touch with most Americans.
The GOPe “talks” a good game from time to time, but when it comes to cutting subsidies for big corporate agribusinesses (ethanol in Iowa, sugar in Florida), it never does.
Meanwhile, GOPe candidates fall all over themselves to curry favor with Las Vegas magnates and billionaire business families to collect campaign cash. Dependence on these billionaire campaign contributors is going to make it very easy Hillary and the Democrats to repeat the Romney playbook and paint the Republican nominee as insensitive, out of touch with the populace, and beholden to the interests of billionaires.
It would be much better to focus on grassroots campaigning and campaign contributions.
