How did Howard Dean go from vivid voice of the New Left to political hack defending Hillary Clinton at all costs?
Joe Scarborough called Dean on it today, telling Howard he had become the "New England version of James Carville." Dean, on today's Morning Joe, dismissed the latest Washington Post story suggesting possible financial improprieties at the Clinton Foundation as "a breathless piece of hot air" and, incredibly, Dean said he'd advise Hillary not to address the rising tide of questions.
The depth of Hillary's dilemma is reflected in the fact that defenders like Dean are reduced to claiming that the Washington Post, New York Times and Politico have become tools of the right wing. Right.

There is a chance that Hillary may be forced out of the race. Soon her rivals in the Democratic Party will be releasing documentation of her alcoholism and lesbian behavior. It would be an ideal scenario for a far leftist like Bernie Saunders to win the Democratic primaries and the Democrats then suffer a McGovern type crushing defeat. The Republicans would then have the real power to implement rational policy. However if it appears that Saunders actually has a chance to get nominated look for John “As crazy as I am, I still want to be President” Kerry to step in and present himself as the savior of the Democratic Party.

My suspicion is that Obama is behind this. Maybe he has an indictable offense he is holding over Hillary's head to keep her from going anti-Obama.

Ahh, Dr Dean. I remember he ran for President. He is one of us, he represents the common man, he is one of the regular folks.
He is just a regular guy from a Long Island mansion born with a golden spoon in his mouth whose grandfather was a founder of Smith Barney.
