Prosecutors ruled that Freddie Gray's death was a homicide. Friday morning, State attorney Marilyn Mosby announced that all six officers involved in the incident have been charged and warrants are out for their arrests.
"Six officers are each facing multiple charges, including manslaughter, assault, misconduct in office and false imprisonment: Lt. Brian Rice, Sgt. Alicia White, Officer William Porter, Officer Garrett Miller, Officer Edward Nero and Officer Caesar Goodson," The Baltimore Sun reports. "Goodson, who drove the van, has been charged with second-degree murder."
Mosby described how police arrested Gray on no grounds, violated police procedures by cuffing his hands and legs the van without putting him in a seat belt, and repeatedly failed to provide him with medical attention.
On April 12, Gray was arrested for carrying a knife and his spine was somehow partially severed while in police custody.
Mosby said that the knife was legal and that the officers “failed to establish probable cause for an arrest.”
Gray underwent major surgery, lapsed into a coma, and died on April 19.
“Mr. Gray was no longer breathing at all" when he was removed from the wagon.
His death sparked protests across Baltimore that escalated into riots.
"We know he was not buckled in the transportation wagon as he should have been. No excuses from me. Period," City Police Commissioner Anthony Batts said. "We know our police employees failed to get him medical attention in a timely manner multiple times."

Here’s the bizzare thing (for me ) about this report:
The police initially stopped Gray because he “fled unprovoked upon noticing police presence,” according to charging documents written by officer Garrett Miller and cited by The Baltimore Sun.
Why would Freddie run for no reason?
Now it’s the LEOs’ turn to become angry and feel betrayed. This will be interesting.
If that’s the case, shut down those cops! PERIOD
THAT is not law enforcement by anybody’s standards!

I gotta say, when I was teen, some of my friends would run when the cops showed up just to F with them. When they got caught, the cops would ask them why they ran. “Because I was tired of walking.”
So, it isn’t ENTIRELY out of reason that someone would run for no good reason. My gut says Gray had a reason, but again, it could happen.
LEOs, Hands up , we quit, you police your own neiborhoods.

I would LOVE for every LEO in Baltimore, Philly, DC and Ferguson to walk off the job and let the animals run wild.
We all know what happens when people leap to conclusions before the facts are all known. There’s nothing any of us can do about this, so sit back and let the truth become known.
I have no idea whether this is justified or not and neither does anyone else here.

Obviously the “Ferguson Commission” thinking is to arrest all and have a jury trial. This is the same thinking that lead to the stand down order. At the end of the day, riots still happened and the trail will most likely result is lesser charges and acquittals. That will mean more riots. It is not the approach, it is the response.
1. Did they test Freddie's blood for presence of Flakka or Bath Salts?
2. Did Vallerie Jarrett contact the mayor and recommend that the cops ‘stand down’?
3. Did she also recommend to that mayor that Al Sharpton be called in?
One thing we know, EVERYONE involved from top-to-bottom is a Democrat, no Republicans in Baltimore.
Most of the cops involved are white. They’ll never get a fair trial in Baltimore. How anyone would want to go into law enforcement is a cesspool like Baltimore run by a bunch of thugs is beyond the pale.

Some street wise person that I spoke to just after I typed that question told me that he was certain Freddie Gray had drugs on him to sell. He ran so that he would have time to dispose it before the cops catch him.
And I would LOVE for every good LEO out there (and that's most of them) to speak out against the actions of the few bad LEOs out there.
Why should they walk off the job?
