Re: “[Cruz] told big business to screw off because he wasn’t for sale.”

Really?

In 2012, Cruz campaigned for more guest worker visas for Texas ranchers and farmers.

Apparently, Cruz thinks there is a labor shortage in Texas which can't be solved the old fashioned way - like raising wages to attract home grown Americans.

According to the Texas Dept-of-Ag, cattle and agriculture are a $100 billion business in Texas, second only to California.

$100 billion a year sounds like a big business to me.

Re: “Yes, absolutely sure. I read your articles and viewed the you tubes, that’s precisely what he said.”

You agree that Cruz has offered every illegal immigrant in the country a “Work Permit” and a Green Card?

You agree that Cruz has promised not to deport any illegal immigrant who has not violated other USA laws?

From that, you conclude that Cruz is against Amnesty and Illegal Immigration?

Re: “Now, name the guy who’s for deporting 12 million.”

Romney, in 2012. No one in 2016.

That summarizes our entire dispute right there.

Massive LEGAL immigration is not your number one issue.

For me, massive LEGAL immigration is the ONLY issue.

It is an existential political threat to Conservative principles and to Conservative goals.

Since the Reagan Amnesty in 1986, the Democrat Party has imported 20 million Socialist voters.

Obama could not have been reelected in 2012 without the imported Hispanic and Asian vote.

The next Republican nominee will need 63% of the white vote to have any chance to be elected, a hugely difficult total to reach.

Some one has to stop massive LEGAL immigration, or Conservative political power will vaporize in the very near future.

Walker won't do it (he's lying for political gain). Cruz won't do it (because he has always endorsed massive LEGAL immigration).

If you don't see the oncoming political catastrophe, if you don't feel a quiet sense of panic in your heart, I have no idea what else to say to you.

Trying out for the circular firing squad, are we?

Some folks want an honest conservative and other s want to be useful tools of the Left. Can you figure out the difference?

Sorry KC, of course you were. I just started posting again, still rusty. I recall we were both on board with Gov. Palin- I hope to get back on my game soon. -)

No Problem, and yes, you and I are both on Board with Sarah Palin and Ted Cruz! :D

Whatever that means or brings :)

Respectfully, my friend, it’s you who doesn’t see. Which is to say, Ted Cruz is your one last hope of turning America away from socialism and back to a constitutional America. Romney, and ALL the rest, will sell you out— Sen. Cruz won’t, because he believes in the Founder’s America MORE than you do.

I’m not cheer leading- just read this article. If he were the typical politician, he’d cut a deal with these Texan businessman and companies, and live a cushy life in DC for the next 30 years— like all the rest. He won’t do it. The article cites a bill that passed the Senate 97-2, it helped Texas companies— Cruz is one of the no votes, because he believes the bill is crony capitalism. Who does that????

If your concern is the fact that America is heading further and further into socialism (and it is), Cruz is the best that you got— and I can’t help it if you don’t see that.

Cruz is only the best we “got” if he can be elected.

Since he actively supports the LEGAL importation of 1.25 million new, mostly Socialist, future voters each year, since he received only 35% of the Hispanic vote in Texas in 2014, it's hard to understand what his long term political strategy for victory might be.

In 1984, Ronald Reagan, the best we ever had, won a landslide reelection. 66% of Hispanics voted against him!

In 1986, Reagan signed the Reagan Amnesty, which opened the immigration floodgates for the last 30 years.

If Reagan ran for governor of California in 2016, he could not be elected.

If Reagan ran against Obama in 2012, if Reagan got exactly the same vote split he got in 1984 (9% Black, 34% Hispanic), Reagan would have BARELY beaten Obama for president.

If we do not stop massive LEGAL immigration very, very soon, Conservatives like you, me, and Ted Cruz can look forward to only one thing - political extinction.

Walker is fine. On the whole, Cruz has been more conservative and more straightforward/consistent. I think many don't have a good picture of his legal immigration stance and how it really affects thing when bumped against all the illegals and they panic. Cruz is so definitely for a smaller and defanged government that he scares the crap out of the "elites" in Washington. Remember the flap about how he asserted that the 2nd Amendment provides the People the means to oust an overstepping government? H e says exactly what he means and means exactly what he says - I have no doubt that he absolutely wants the best for America and the People and has no hidden agenda.

For me, It's Cruz, then Walker.

I agree with everything you say about Cruz. He has been my hero until I find out his unconscionable willingness to sell out the future, including Hispanic legal residents with retention of illagals and an increase of 500% H1b work visas. No. No. No Cruz.
