Immigrants to U.S. From China Top Those From Mexico
Wall Street Journal ^ | May 3, 2015 | Neil Shah

Increasing numbers move to study, work and unite with families in the country

move over, Mexico. When it comes to sending immigrants to the U.S., China and India have taken the lead.

China was the country of origin for 147,000 recent U.S. immigrants in 2013, while Mexico sent just 125,000, according to a Census Bureau study by researcher Eric Jensen and others. India, with 129,000 immigrants, also topped Mexico, though the two countries’ results weren’t statistically different from each other.

For the study, presented last week at the Population Association of America conference in San Diego, researchers analyzed annual immigration data for 2000 to 2013 from the American Community Survey.

The mandatory annual survey conducted by the Census Bureau asks where respondents lived the year before. Researchers counted as an “immigrant” any foreign-born person in the U.S. who said they previously lived abroad, without asking about legal status. (So while the data include undocumented immigrants, it may undercount them.)

A year earlier, in 2012, Mexico and China had been basically tied for top-sending country—with Mexico at 125,000 and China at 124,000.

Nah. The democrats have successfully turned the GOP into the white party. The foreign language media in this country - all of it - is hardcore left.

Asian thinking “we work really hard and experience hardly any racism..but those whites did something to use some time ago, so lets side with the blacks who rob and stab and rape us”

I assume legal as opposed to illegals.

But of course, that is correct. Illegals are not immigrants. They are criminal invaders.

As far as I’ve seen, parents of asians are for the most part grateful to be here, but the kids come out of college with the same racialist chip on their shoulder common among other minority groups.

Republican immigrants:

Vietnamese

Cubans

Many Chinese, because they are pro-business and many are small business people. Also, they understand how “affirmative action” discriminates most against Asians.

They've been doing the same in eastern Russia.

Incidentally, this was why congress passed the anti-asian immigration laws around the turn of the last century, to their eternal shame.

Oh, sorry, I forgot Koreans.

Remember, they were the only group that were fully armed and opened fire during the L.A. riots. They have no illusions about the real race situation in America.

I have been trying to point this out for years. In my opinion its the biggest uncovered story of the 21st century.

The Asian population of the US has been increasing at a MUCH faster rate (as a percentage) than the hispanic. And if you think about it, it makes complete sense. More than half of the worlds population is in Asia.

There are only 600 million people total in central and south America. There are over 3 billion in Asia.

Since it’s very improbable that the entire population of central and south america is going to come here and leave central and south america empty, it makes complete sense that Asians will eventually be the largest ethnic group here as time goes by.

from what I could find if you leave Indians out of the “Asians” equation you get good turnout for republicans.

Good thing we’re letting zillions of Indians. I know, I was told h1b’s cant vote. Never seems to work out that way in the long run though does it.

Those for h 1b are sure they’ll never vote to the point of insulting me but believe 100 percent illegals will get to vote. Which is it?

Minus the Indians, it should be a good thing, no? I mean compared to south America.

I felt no sorrow when the expensive, much vaunted graphics department in India, created to slowly replace us, shut down after two years. with the President of Operations having to put his tail between his legs.

IT was like special needs people were creating the documents, and that’s an insult to special needs people
