I liked “Shadows and Light”, with Metheny, Mays, Jaco and Michael Brecker.

She’s starting to look like Stephen King’s sister...

This is why I need to stop FReeping and get back to work. It was all I could do to not laugh out loud at this. Very funny - and too close for comfort!

WOW, I love Metheny and will have to download that one.

I saw that tour - easily one of the best shows I’ve ever seen/heard.
Album wise, “Hissing of Summer Lawns” is vastly underrated.
My fav is “Hejira”.
I also have CDRs of “Court & Spark” and “Blue” burned direct from the raw master studio tapes from a mastering engineer friend - superb engineering on those albums.

That certainly could be.
I’m basing my comments on memories of the Grooveyard of Forgotten Hits lol.

it wasnt until 2010 that Mitchell first said she was suffering from Morgellons, a rare condition widely thought by doctors to be delusional I seem to recall there was a FR poster some years back, dont recall who or if that person is still posting here, that claimed to be suffering from Morgellons he or she posted many threads on the topic. And yes I got the impression from their posts that they were perhaps not suffering from a physical malady but was perhaps delusional, but then I couldnt say for sure.
Regardless of her politics or her personal issues or her health issues, those either real or imagined, IMO Joni Mitchell ranks as one of the best singer song writers of her era and beyond. She had IMO some amazing phrasing as a singer, and was an amazing song writer. She mixed together elements of both folk and jazz into a very unique sound all of her own and her very self-confessional lyrics touched on themes of love and loss and the pressures of life that many of us can identify with.

It's not a new disease. A delusional 'technician' thought he'd give Delusions of Parasitosis a new name. Easily, but not eagerly, recognized by any Dermatologist. I was seeing cases long before 2002; please don't send me any more. You don't have to be delusional about anything else to have Delusions of Parasitosis, most aren't. But on this subject they're as realistic as the folks at DU. Those campaigning for it to be called 'Morgellons' ARE nuts. The 'threads' they see are ordinary collagen fibers, which normally are organized in a woven pattern. Sometimes it does have a cause: cocaine or amphetamines can make you feel enough like bugs are crawling on you, to think bugs are crawling in you. Well worth considering in a liberal hippie icon. I've had patients claim the 'bugs' persisted after they'd quit the drugs. Although I'm dubious they'd really quit them.

Tames Taylor is an excellent singer/musician, but a total piece of crap otherwise.

the “request” to “Shut Up and SIng” seems to fit....most admirably in this case.
