Here are some of the worst SCOTUS decisions, ever. Justices do make some really stinker decisions, that need to be overturned.

Dred Scott v. Sandford
(Slaves are property)

United States v. E.C. Knight Company
(Monopolies are good, the more the merrier)

Lochner v. New York
(We don’t need no stinking food health and safety laws)

Plessy v. Ferguson
(Separate but sort of equal)

Hammer v. Dagenhart
(Child labor is cool)

Korematsu v. United States
(Japanese can be imprisoned for being Japanese)

Kelo v. City of New London
(What government wants, government can take)

Marbury v. Madison
(Government decides what powers it has)

Wickard v. Filburn
(Government can control what you own and produce for your own use)

National Federation of Independent Business v. Sebelius
(Government can tax any event or non-event it wants to. Tax anything and everything. Tax tax tax.)

Massachusetts v. Environmental Protection Agency
(Government can regulate all of the air)

United States v. Riverside Bayview Homes
(Government can regulate all of the water)

Santa Clara County v. Southern Pacific Railroad
(Corporations are people, too. Not an actual decision, but based on the opinion of the court reporter and the chief justice of the time. Now totally dominating business law.)

Bennis v. Michigan
(If your property is used in a crime, by an unauthorized user, government can still confiscate it.)

Home Building & Loan v. Blaisdell
(Government can interfere with legal contracts, retroactively, if it wants to.)

Grutter v. Bolinger
(Schools can give preferential treatment to minorities only.)

Good thing she never had a chance at winning.

No kidding. She'd be a disaster.

“Sure, our noble government would never “force” churches to perform gay weddings, they would prefer to bankrupt them with the removal of tax-exempt status.”

I have no doubt that our (ig)noble government would try to strip churches of their tax-exempt status if they fail to conduct gay weddings. I just think that the courts (yes, even the same courts that allowed for gay weddings in the first place) would smack them down for trying. I don’t think that’s a 100% certainty—that’s why I would support a legislative fix to ensure that the issue doesn’t come up—but I think it’s a strong probability.

the Supreme Court ruling will become the law of the land, and however much I may agree or disagree with it, I wouldn’t support an amendment to reverse it

Slave mentality. Someone wants to replace Obama with THAT?

Don't forget Buck v. Bell, it's usually left off of lists because people like to think that Oliver Wendell Holmes, Jr. was a great justice.

She doesn’t have a clue what the issues are. I hear equity brought up, and instantly I know I’m dealing with a know nothing

I am just sick of the whole thing. I am sick of homosexuals threatening businesses, sick of homosexual commercials and homosexuals on TV shows. Sick of homosexuals forcing elementary students to learn how wonderful it is to be homosexual. Sick of churches leaving what the Bible teaches to become more accepted in today’s culture. Sick of politicians telling us how homosexual rights are the new civil rights. Just sick of all of it.

I am just waiting for God’s judgment.

“Even a Supreme Court that would overturn state marriage laws to allow for same-sex marriage would not force churches to conduct such marriages.“

They have forced legalization of gay marriage and forced church schools to teach homosexuality affirmatively to children in the UK. And that was from their conservative party.

Come, Lord Jesus.

Apparently she thinks that if we can get divisive social issues off the table (gay marriage, abortion, etc.) by just “accepting” a SCOTUS decision as the final word, that will clear them from the field and she’ll be able to run on economic Conservatism.

In truth the opposite will happen. My town is filled with voters who are economically just about Socialists, but often vote Conservative because of their more traditional Catholic beliefs and social values.

If those are cleared from the field there’s no reason they will not vote Democrat every time.

In each case you mentioned, there are active lawsuits trying to force a faith group to hold a wedding.

And yes, they will go that far.

I think you are holding back. Tell us how you REALLY feel. LOL For what it’s worth, I agree. I’m sick to death of them forcing their deviant, repulsive lifestyles on everyone else....but the bible said this would happen. What amazes me is that people are ignoring Bible prophecy.

Well, as one militant atheist pointed out, I don’t see God smiting the deniers with death today so he must not be real. But then again, even Christ said he would come as a thief, and he would actually come around when things are pretty scary, sure it’s a real test of faith, but in the end, the kind of faith that is neccessary to make it through the final storms and plagues will be among the greatest faith in God ever known.
