Gotnews.com has independently identified the engineer at the center of the Amtrak crash that has killed at least seven.
Brandon Bostian is the 32-year-old gay man who lawyered up after a deadly derailment in Philadelphia. The train was reportedly going twice the speed limit.
ABC 6 previously reported that “Brandon Boshan,” not Brandon Bostian, was to blame for the deadly crash. (They have since taken down the link.)
Bostian is a gay activist who previously worked at Target as a cashier before joining Amtrak, according to his LinkedIn.

I think it’s two years. A coworker of mine’s brother is an Amtrak employee. I’m just outside Philly.
The news that he might be gay may or may not be a big deal. The news that his previous job was a cashier at Target is.
I except a statement from Amtrak soon:
“Just like Target cash registers, all of our trains use computer controls and displays. In fact, both systems have “Intel Inside”. They are basically the same. He was more than qualified. Although it would be nice if the cash registers still had that lever thingy on the side - replicates the emergency brake we have.”

Nothing to do with the identity of the train driver, but when I heard it was going 100+ mph, twice the limit for that stretch of track, it reminded me of the German pilot who deliberately downed the airliner in the French Alps a few weeks back.

It says the train was going 106 MPH and then he threw on the full power emergency brake. Sure sounds like he hadn’t been paying attention.
