Thanks, if our beliefs didn’t change “based upon conditions on the ground” then we are not using our brains for what they were intended. When I first joined this forum in 2009 I was solidly Tea Party and still am. I didn’t believe our elected leaders cared what we the people wanted except on election day. Their ear most of the time was pointed towards only the club with the money. I strongly opposed the bailout and had I been younger would have been in New York with a sign with OWS.
I don’t oppose wealth, but I do oppose crony capitalism and the use of wealth to bribe, control and hijack our government and take our taxes. It is always leads down a path to corruption and unresponsive govt.
My views on conservatism and corporatism were somewhat in alignment when corporations actually served America. I don’t see that now and see crony corporatism as a threat to most everything I cherish as a conservative. The financial ties between politics, Wall St, multi-national corporations, unions, etc need to be severed or at least kept widely separated.
I rather see citizens encouraged to use their free speech to get involved, volunteer and work for candidates than allow unlimited money from special interests. Only then will politicians view we the people (not money) as the reason for their existence. Sorry for the wordiness.

Thank you. This clarified a lot to me concerning this bill. I agree. to start TOSSING it all overboard with one thing we don’t agree on, will put the Dem’s back in power indefinitely!!!
