An Iowa judge has dismissed a 112-member jury pool after determining that a black man charged with murder couldn't get a fair trial when all but one potential juror is white.
Tyrone Washington Jr., 41, of Northwood is accused in the August 2013 stabbing death of his ex-girlfriend, 30-year-old Justina Smith, the Globe Gazette reported.
Defense attorney Charles Kenville requested to have the entire jury pool stricken, and District Judge Colleen Weiland on Tuesday granted his motion.
Out of the 112 people in the jury pool, 111 had identified themselves as white. One juror identified himself as Native American.
Kenville said the lack of racial diversity wasn't intentional but that 'the system is broken in Webster County and this court needs to fix it for Mr. Washington's rights to be upheld.'

why are there so few black men in major league baseball?.....
Who ever asked that question obviously does not watch baseball, basketball or football. The only sport that has a lack of minority players is hockey and that too is changing.
Where have you been, FRiend?
The concept of “too many white people” is at the core of Affirmative Action, racial quotas, and the institutionalized anti-white racism we see in the universities and government hiring/promotion.
It has been going full steam for the last 20 years.
It’s just that now we are at a critical mass; a tipping point. The enemies of Western Civilization think that white people can simply be emasculated and rendered moot, but at the same time but will continue to pay taxes and support the system.
I really do think they are trying to foment armed unrest by white people. What other outcome could there be? Are they really that dumb?
Wait; don’t answer that.
When my wife was being (fraudulently and incompetently) charged with a DUI in Dekalb Co. Georgia the only white people in the general area were the two of us and her lawyer.
The prosecutors, the judges, the jury pool, the clerk...the insane officer on the scene.
And, yes, aside from our second judge who replaced the first judge because she “couldn’t handle a DUI case,” it was the most racist experience of my life.
Technically, growing up in a predominately black population low-income rural area, going to school with a majority population of black people, and then being the victim of institutionalized racism means that I understand the black struggle more than large portions of black people themselves. Ironic.
The tag line is completely and brazenly stolen. (See attribution.)
***Kenville said the lack of racial diversity wasn’t intentional but that ‘the system is broken in Webster County***
Bunk. Most likely, any blacks there are not registered to vote because they don’t want to be called for jury duty, as the jury pool is drawn from voter registration files.
My kin always supported the Democratic Party, yet they NEVER registered to vote because they did not want to be called for jury duty.
I know. What I meant is that I’m actually hearing and reading of people in the sports media talk this way on the record. Many of them seem to have no problem showing their contempt for all things white.
As far as I’ve known, this is a relatively recent development.
I heard that comment on the MLB channel during the off-season.
They know full well the number of blacks and browns on the roster. The reporters throw that out there to earn their politically correct stripes, imo. But what is noteable is they no longer seem to try to hide their disdain for the white man.
What their gunning for, I think, is to have all sports become like the NBA.
Let’s say they mandate 120 registered voters show up for jury duty. Then you state anyone who has serious medical issues to present ‘just cause’ to be excused....a dozen folks with blood pressure will be hands-up. Then you state if they’ve been convicted of any crimes....at least ten will raise hands. Thirty of the folks will then note they have kids, small business with only one day possible for jury duty, etc. By the end, you have fifty folks who pull duty and the lawyers start to ease out anyone who has a degree, retired military, or journalists. Maybe at best...forty out of the 120 might be possible jurors.
Lucky this guy wasn’t an blind gay Islamic Albanian midget...it’d be awful hard to find some peers to fit on the jury.
The Iowa case has given you a precedent for your demand.
maybe all the perps peers are dead or in prison..
Dang honkies.
The moral should be that if you are black do not commit crimes in a reeeely white place. This is not the fault of the white populace.
Post the judges name widely and request that he not be retained in the next election because of anti-white bias.
So what color was Judge Weiland?
Inquiring minds want to know...

Microcephalic Aggression.
“Political Correctness” eats up yet another mind and brain.
It would be interesting to see just how far demographics go to constitute a jury of one’s “peers” extends.
Should a jury include those similarly charged in the past, with a certain % who were convicted, and another % of those not convicted? Or how about matching IQ’s, or even skin tones. Maybe the defendant here is REALLY dark. Would a light skinned African-American be his peer? An African American who’d graduated from high school/college, or who’d earned a Ph.D.? Just how far does this go?
“What their gunning for, I think, is to have all sports become like the NBA.”..........
All the more reason I will not support them.
Racist judge needs to be thrown off the bench.
There you go, I think you're getting real warm. Even warmer later..
