...said Susan Jacobson, assistant professor of journalism at FIU and the web app project manager.... A journalism prof is running this crap?
Is FIU a public school??? This has NOTHING TO DO WITH JOURNALISM.

How about sea level fall? My tides are so low where I live that my boat lift is unusable at low tide, even after dredging last summer.
I wish the sea level would rise....

...which helps Miami-Dade residents visualize the possible impact of rising seasAs a matter of fact, looking at that phrasing, it is the OPPOSITE of journalism...."visualize....possible impact...."
Uh, a DISNEY attraction might do the same thing....

I’m thankful for global warming. Otherwise my central Ohio home would be under a massive glacier.

I had some (College “educated”) moron try to tell me that the great lakes will rise too because they’re connected to the ocean.
Currently they are rising but its due to a couple years of excess ice preventing evaporation combined with lots of rain.

When I was born a good amount of the Florida land was uderwater. Now much of it is no longer swampland thanks to develoment. So what they’re telling us is that at worst, the land will return to it’s original state.

The sea level is not rising. The continent is drifting, sliding off into the Atlantic

How about the California coast? If sea levels rise in California, Al Gore’s seaside mansion will be inundated.

Some coastal areas are subsiding and have been for a lot longer than we’ve been around.

Personally, I'm much more interested in buying up desert land in California, which will become the new beach front property:

If a real conservative (Cruz or Walker) is elected in 2016, I expect the media to report that, as a result of their policies, Denver will be below sea level by 2020. More than 90% of liberals will believe it, especially if the prediction is attributed to Nobel Prize winner Al Gore.

SoFloFreeper is correct -- this has nothing to do with journalism; it's propaganda hiding under that guise, plain and simple, designed and deployed to keep the sheep in a panic.
Or, as the propagandists themselves term it, "explanatory journalism". Words as weapons.
