I feel like I need to address the elephant-in-the-room on this blog, since you guys have been with me through thick and thin. When I first got engaged, you were the first ones I wanted to tell.
I guess you have seen by now that the wedding — that was supposed to happen last weekend — was called off. I’m sure you’ve seen this has been all over the media, but this is a painful time for family and friends and I would just really appreciate your prayers.
I know God’s plan is greater than anything else, and Tripp and I are in Alaska beginning to rebuild our lives under much different circumstances than we anticipated.

Personally I think the kid could have benefited from a little more hands-on parenting.
I don’t even know who the Duggars are, but they are no where in the territory of the Palins and their influence in conservatism.
Nor are they most hated family by the media, that we have ever seen for their conservatism and Christian faith.
The kid is a gem, a good conservative writer, and national spokeswoman for pro-life and abstinence.
It doesn’t get much better, I hope she enters politics.

Yep. I had actually guessed there was a shotgun reason for the marriage. If the guess was right, a change in circumstances could well explain the change in plans.

Do you know anything about Bristol Palin’s extensive biography and record for pro-life and abstinence and conservative writing and activities, besides the fact that one night, at age 17, she had sex with her high school sweetheart and got pregnant?
As it is, she is only 24 years old.

She is a fearless Christian conservative like her mom, she seems totally fearless in the face of the liberal media.
I do hope that she runs for office.
To be fair, Bristol apparently posted this on a social media blog where people have signed up to "follow her". Just like some of us will set up ping lists here on Free Republic.

If you looked up the definition of an Internet troll in the dictionary, you'd find his picture.
“Say: “No comment”.
Then, don’t post your every move and notion to Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, your blog, or give interviews to magazines.
It’s super dumb to post pictures of you weekends, dates, engagements, children, etc., to the public, then pretend that what you really want is privacy.
That’s why you and the other commenter are here on this thread, instead of tending to things that really matter. lol
