First I heard of a
Point Break remake. Didn't know one was in the works.
OK, I'll 'fess up. My buddies and I probably watched this movie a hundred times when it first came out. And I'll watch it until the end when I come across it on TV. One of my guilty pleasures.

A movie only has to be one thing to me....not boring. If it can hold my attention for an hour and one half or two hours, it's a good film. So what if Point Break has a lot of screwy parts. It's still fun to watch.

Point Break was ridiculous.
But it's still a great flick. An all time classic in my book, despite its flaws.
That scene starting in the airplane where Utah goes after Bodi is just epic.

One of the funniest plays around — exact script from the movie, but turned into complete comedy. Someone from the audience plays Johnny Utah, just reading lines from cue cards (so he’ll sound just like Reeves). Must see if you get a chance:

(Obama's standing in the world has fallen so much that Kenya now claims he was born in America.)

My wife and I are laughing about this. She just said, “It really was just perfect the way it was.”
Where are they gonna get another Patrick Swayze?
