Indicted former House Speaker Dennis Hastert was paying an individual from his past to conceal sexual misconduct, two federal law enforcement officials said Friday.

One of the officials, who would not speak publicly about the federal charges in Chicago, said “Individual A,” as the person is described in Thursday’s federal indictment, was a man and that the alleged misconduct was unrelated to Hastert’s tenure in Congress. The actions date to Hastert’s time as a Yorkville, Ill., high school wrestling coach and teacher, the official said.

I can't help but wonder how many of these sexual deviants we have in Congress, probably way more than most people suspect.

I know somebody who runs a black car service (limo) that has wheeled around several high ranking married repected members of Congress (one a married conservative Republican)and heard the stories about what went on with these people and their young female staffers.Political corruption and sexual deviance seems to go together, no wonder these politicians are leading us all to hell in a handbasket.

out of 43 first cousins I can think of one marriage that ended because of cheating. either everyone else is being really sly about it, or DC somehow robs people of ethics and morals.

I knew it. So disgusting.

Same here. My wife works in pubic school administration. There's a lot more of this going on than ever gets to the media.

I’ve gotten to the point where it wouldn’t surprise me if 80% of the Beltway GOP leadership is homo/pedo.

It would explain SOOOO very much!

“It goes back a long way, back to then,” the source said. “It has nothing to do with public corruption or a corruption scandal. Or to his time in office.”

If he was being bribed about it then it sure as hell have everything to do with public corruption.

Just another turd in the DC bowl.

Someone once told me the last place they would want to be in a nuke war would be in DC because they would go first. I laughed and said you would probably be safest there because why would an enemy take out its fifth column.

Gingrich also had zipper problems, at least from my POV morally speaking.

My wife works in pubic school administration.

That's a good name for it.

Well, he could take a play from Clinton, who was impeached for lying, and say “it’s all about sex.” He could add, “you perverts” to that, to stifle the accusers.

"Unless their are pictures..."

Obviously that or some other kind of durable evidence worth millions of dollars existed.

serious question:

if he were a democrat, what sexual action would be considered ‘misconduct’?

Boehner and McConnell. I wouldn’t doubt they both sucked @#$2 or took it up the back side to get where they are now.

If they were men of Character they would have stood up to the Islamic Imposter a long time ago.

I know the LA Times mentioned this on Twitter last night. Considering the story is less than 24 hrs it did not take long for leaks from government sources.

One of the things the Republican House, Senate, and White House didn’t get done was removing abortion from the appellate jurisdiction of the Supreme Court.

Simple majority vote, signature of the President, and Roe, Doe, and Casey are all nullified.
