The good thing about Jeb and Hitlery is it’s making even liberals realize we have a major problem with elitism in this country. That’s right boys and girls, it’s called a Monarchy where nothing they do is ever illegal.

4th Amendment to the US Constitution:

"The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized."

This is the ideal we should be working towards, Mr. Bush.

If this means a few criminals get away for a time, so be it. I’m not personally willing to give up all liberty and privacy so that some Americans can (falsely) feel more secure. Don’t like? Amend the US Constitution.

Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush says Republican presidential candidate Rand Paul is "wrong" on his efforts to cause post-Sept. 11 surveillance laws used against suspected spies and terrorists to expire.

And by "suspected spies and terrorists", Jeb means "all Americans, without any probable cause or duly authorized warrants", of course.

In other words, Jeb sez: "F--k the Fourth Amendment"...

I miss the rule of law, back when the Constitution instead of congressional whim was the supreme law of the land.

it’s pretty tough to claim you need to spy on every American citizen for national, security reasons....

while simultaneously allowing thousands of illegals to enter the country daily.

solution: make the spying program contingent on building and enforcing a southern fence (like the one that was agreed upon during the Reagan years)

I agree. And adopt Israel’s airport passenger screening process (profiling) then disband the TSA. All they are is a bunch of luggage rifling thieves anyway.

The obvious reply is that is exactly why the Feds need to spy on Americans. We have turned the country into a target rich environment.

As long as Homeland Insecurity and the DOD has named Christians, Tea Partiers, Libertarians, military vets, constitutionalists, etc. terrorists, our own government is a danger to the constitutional Republic and our people.

As long as our government leaves our borders wide open to weapons of mass destruction and it’s Islamic terrorists, our government is a danger to the Republic and needs to be defunded and dismantled. As long as our government names Texas hostile territory, it needs to be defanged. As long as our goverment pursues an agenda to dismantle the sovereignty of the US and pursues economic interests that are not in the interest nor in service to the American people, it needs to be put on life support.

I would feel the same way if our government was going after stinky American progressives and Jews.

sitting in our parks, watching our kids.
planning attacks on our water systems.
spreading disease to our food stocks.
sabotaging our infrastructure.

got the terrorists right where we want em, huh?

not really a solid plan.

it’s best to keep everyone out so that the few sneaking in are the ones to watch instead of trying to watch tens of millions
