Nope. Won’t support it. Nor will I support a country that has descended into such evil and depravity as to equate two perverted homos as the same legal and moral equivalent of a husband-and-wife.
If this is America’s destiny, America can go burn in hell as far as care.
“emanations of the penumbras” just
“thounds tho thmart!”
It all boils down to the fact that most Christians are Republicans but many if not most Republicans are not Christians.
And to reference the Declaration again, it is still the “right of the people to alter or abolish” tyrannies.
Very apt paraphrase of Niemöller.
The phenomena he described is repeating itself today, as is the resurgence of Nazism.
The Middle Eastern version of Nazism has been active since the end of World War II (Arab nationalism + Islamic socialism) and used the creation of the state of Israel as an excuse to perpetuate itself. Seventy years of this abomination, and DC is infested with lefties that want it to expand.
Would love to see this by racial breakdown and religious breakdown.
It all boils down to the fact that most Christians are Republicans but many if not most Republicans are not Christians.
**********************************
They are “casual” Christians .....
This was in something I read recently:
As the late, and sorely missed, Dr. Francis Schaeffer was fond to say: There is only one reason to believe in Christianitybecause its true. There is nothing casual about true Christianityyoure either in it, all the way, or youre tragically on the outside and in grave peril. As Jesus Himself said:
If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me. For whoever would save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will save it. For what does it profit a man if he gains the whole world and loses or forfeits himself?
Christianity has been buffeted by friend and foe alike, but the most damaging blows have been inflicted by those who feign allegiance, but whose lives and demeanor demonstrate them to be casual Christians, indeed.
As a FReeper pointed out on another thread earlier today, Benjamin Disraeli, the British statesman, famously said “there are three types of lies: lies, damned lies, and statistics.”
Well, most of the poll results you’re seeing in America today utilize all three.
You need to re-prioritize. Not only is the natural family, the most basic building block of any decent civilization, on the line, so are your First Amendment rights and our constitutional, republican form of self-government.
Fact is, not a single clause of the stated purposes of the U.S. Constitution can possibly be fulfilled without one man-one woman marriage and the natural family.
Folks, this is a battle lost.
You're just plain wrong. We're on the side of God and nature, and they have never lost a battle yet, over the long haul.
I see a bunch of wild-eyed hyperbole and no cost to me or mine.
"Fact is, not a single clause of the stated purposes of the U.S. Constitution can possibly be fulfilled without one man-one woman marriage and the natural family. "
Please explain to me how my 2nd Amendment rights are threatened by homo marriage?
Or how my right to a trial by my peers...unreasonable search and seizure...Even my right to say whatever I damn well please..?
Manifest your concerns with facts.
I look past any religious or moral objections to know its about a back door way to abridge Constitutional rights for those opposed to gay marriage.
Its a way to overturn the First Amendment guarantees of freedom of religion and speech and marginalize religious people as if this were the USSR or Nazi Germany.
Opponents of gay marriage are being silenced and marginalized already with loss of employment and business.
ITS PASTOR NIEMOLLER TIME IN AMERICA...ITS A ‘FIRST THEY CAME FOR’ TIME AND HOW WILL THOSE WHO DON’T CARE ABOUT GAY MARRIAGE REACT???????
And the Republicans are betraying those who voted for them by even refusing to lift a finger and support religious freedom legislation like the governors in Indiana and Arkansas did.
Jan Brewer (Rep) vetoed similar legislation in Arizona last year.
Last week North Carolina’s GOP governor would not give religiously minded government officials an opt out on gay marriage.
Opponents of gay marriage have been defined as the modern equivalent of racists and its anything go time like Brendan Eich being forced out as CEO of Mozilla because he supported Prop 8 in favor of traditional marriage.
This isn’t a religious debate, its a Constitutional one involving tearing down the First Amendment, they will come an find ways to tear the others later defining gun owners as ‘haters’ like gay marriage opponents are defined.
Go read the statement of purpose. Most folks call it the preamble, even though the Constitution itself doesn’t call it that.
None of it, not a single clause, can be fulfilled without real marriage and the natural family it produces.
Many homosexuals have their own biological children. They are not infertile.
You cannot support something that will criminalize not supporting it.
Even my right to say whatever I damn well please..
Go against gays anywhere in public, and, if an employer finds out, you are fired.
