All of the other decathetes who ran with Bruce COLLAPSED. He not only did not collapse, but he did an extra lap around the stadium. This from a guy who was not even expected to win by any measure.
He made every one of his opponents look like wimps! He was a hero that day. Yes, he grabbed the American flag!
That’s nice. The impression more than a few people got from Jenner re. the Olympics was that it was all about Bruce. Nothing he’s done since has changed my mind. If you like him, fine by me.
Really. He just barely qualified for the team days before the Olympics ... but his standings got better. He was a true long shot.
