p.s The last place I worked had a guy who thought he was a female after forty years of being a male. The bigwigs decided he was who he thought he was, and said he could use the female restroom. A number of woman told me of how uncomfortable they felt when he walked in. This was before the guy had a choppadictomy. Many of them started posting lookouts to warn others to be out of or not go in their main restroom while "it" was in there.

Treatments here must begin with removing the young person from the suggestive environment and offering a counter-message in family therapy.
Then there is the subgroup of very young, often prepubescent children who notice distinct sex roles in the culture and, exploring how they fit in, begin imitating the opposite sex. Misguided doctors at medical centers including Boston's Children's Hospital have begun trying to treat this behavior by administering puberty-delaying hormones to render later sex-change surgeries less onerous—even though the drugs stunt the children's growth and risk causing sterility. Given that close to 80% of such children would abandon their confusion and grow naturally into adult life if untreated, these medical interventions come close to child abuse. A better way to help these children: with devoted parenting.

I’ve worked for a defense contractor that covered the surgery, partially, under health benefits, and meets all the check boxes on the Out and Equal Index. So not only was there more than one man who said he was a woman, but one woman who said she was a man.
It is insane that the right to privacy includes abortion, but it doesn’t include a man in a dress in the bathroom.
The horrific thing is that he has the male organ, and often retains the heterosexual orientation. So he changes from a weird dude with normal sexuality to a mentally ill man who says he’s both a woman and a lesbian.
You don’t have men in the women’s bathroom or changing rooms, for the protection of women from assault. And now you’re letting a MENTALLY ILL man into the women’s bathroom.
And if a woman complains, she’s homophobic/transphobic.
The worst thing for me was the demands by these men for validation. They demand to be at womens’ luncheons, women’s professional associates, etc. I stopped the networking altogether, because I didn’t like them and they’d too often dominate. What is the point of a woman’s luncheon when the transgendered male to female (who had surgery) takes over as the star of the event, so glad to be welcomed, I’m now the most important thing in the room?
The most frustrating thing for my boss was a male to female trans I had to work with, myself in first level support, it in second level support. It transitioned and demanded full recognition from the only woman on the team - me. I said it was free to make its decisions, but I would advise my brother against it, and take my children to counseling if they said they were contrary to such a basic biological fact. I didn’t impose, it kept asking why I didn’t go out to a special make up women’s luncheon, just it and me. It asked what made me more of a woman than it. I answered, “I gave birth twice.”
I probably became the first sexual harassment claim at the company against a transgender. The going to a different bathroom 200 feet further away was my choice. It coming in and propagandizing me in my cube on my breaks or when it came by to discuss business, then refusing to help me on system outages, was deemed a personality conflict.
When I reported that it came into my cube while I’m eating lunch by myself, repeatedly detailing the surgical details and medical issues, in short, grossing me out while I tried to eat on purpose, then HR agreed it was sexual harassment and talked to “it”. But they did NOT want to deal with its mental illness except full validation and endorsement, then punishing those who didn’t comply with mandates.
I’ve dealt with sexual harassment at work by men, such as the idiot who asked if I was going to get pregnant and quit after a coworker had a baby, and had a constant turnover of female subordinates who dealt with him. The transgender was actually worse, because it would find me in the bathroom and try to confront me over my discomfort and supposed problems - and most people don’t want to have a philosophical debate while on the toilet.

I’m similar. But I never had a fear of heights. Used to jump off the second story of buildings under construction, onto the ground. But, not having a cape, I did develop a distinct aversion to hitting the ground. Everything was just fine up to that point.
Can a transgendered (via complete surgery) person reproduce?
