The lyrics of this song provide no mention of where the trip to Oklahoma via Phoenix begins. I have concluded that the singer probably starts his trip in Buckeye, Ariz., or maybe Goodyear, Ariz. If he were starting from points farther west or southwest, the singer would more likely go through Casa Grande, Prescott or Flagsgtaff, rather than Phoenix, on his way to Oklahoma.
