Vacationers can soon live the high life at cannabis camp.
CannaCamp which bills itself the first pot-friendly ranch resort opens in southwest Colorado next month.
The 170-acre ranch in Durango hosts daily Wake+Bake breakfasts, organizes pot-centric cooking and yoga classes and encourages guests to smoke freely on resort grounds.
CannaCamp wont provide travelers with pot, a clear violation of Colorados marijuana laws. Instead, the resort allows their guest to bring their own weed and use it during their stays. CannaCamp will even pick guests up at the airport and take them on dispensary tours before heading to the camp grounds.
"We're bringing an element of luxury to that adventurous, exploratory vibe of childhood summer camp in a beautiful setting where visitors can enjoy marijuana in a safe, comfortable, social environment," Joel Schneider, head of the management group opening CannaCamp, said in a statement.
Cabin rates start at $395 per person per night, with a three-night minimum. Guests can not smoke inside the cabins, but are encouraged to on their porches.

I thought it said pet-friendly.
That’s different. Never mind.
Cabin rates start at $395 per person per night, with a three-night minimum.
Not for your average pot head! What the heck is a cannabis-infused massage?
I am going to assume the oil for the massage has cannabis in it.
I think that "petting friendly" would apply to the "marijuana massage."
Good heavens, the promoters of pot have wasted no time in coming up with new ways to push it.
For as much as potheads love to compare pot and alcohol (trying to “prove” by association that pot use has minimal deleterious effects compare to alcohol), can anyone imagine the outcry that would ensue if someone offered a minimum 3 night alcohol binge camp?
I do not want to see the number of mentally disabled/mentally ill people that are going to become apparent in a few years, with these pushes to legalize pot and increase its use. Those people are going to be drains on society. Maybe society will collectively decide that it’s tired of supporting those who won’t (or make themselves unable to) pull their own weight.
How to make money in Obamaville. It will work. Because weed will get you through times of no money better than money will get you through times of no weed.
NO-O-O! NOT DURANGO! My favorite spot in Cali-rado!
I still remember it as a mining town back in the 1950s and a ski town in the 1970s!

It’s not a “binge” camp. It’s a “pot-friendly” camp and advertised as such because it may be the first in the country.
“Alcohol-friendly” camps do the same exact thing. If you google “alcohol friendly”, camps are the first thing in the suggestion box.
The same thing with beaches, resorts, parties, etc. One of the first things people ask is “can we drink?”.
Intoxication is an integral part of humanity and people will ALWAYS find ways to do so. Even going as far as fermenting their own feces and inhaling the gas.
You will NEVER stop people from growing and using a simple plant so we may as well regulate it through stores like we do with alcohol and tobacco. Especially considering pot is by-far the safest and least addictive substance.
In places where pot is heavily cracked down and expensive, people are doing REAL permanent damage to themselves with LEGAL research chemicals. WE will NEVER stop all people from using drugs. All we can do is encourage people to use safer ones by making those legal
Mentally disabled people can afford a $395/night resort? Any real "push" to "increase its use" will have a MUCH lower price point.

Oh joy! I guess they get to be permanently stoned while they are there.
There have been alcohol binge camps for a long time. Look up “tasting tour”. They’re everywhere, and they can be pretty awesome, though you won’t remember much.
Are any of those places offering 3 day (minimum) binges?
Most of the culture surrounding alcohol also pushes moderation. I’m not certain that “moderation” is even an adjective that can be properly used with marijuana, since *the* only point of using marijuana is for the high.
When alcohol was illegal, most consumption of that mind-altering drug was immoderate; it's not the chemical, it's the incentive structure. And it's easy to buy a 'one-hitter' pipe or bowl, whose purpose is to facilitate the moderate use of pot.
These are probably life-long potheads that pull their own weight to the tune of $400 a night vacations.
The term is all inclusive...meals, drinks, room, etc...
And possibly puke your guts out and wake up with a massive headache and hangover.
