But the point is that the one only exists to get the others passed. Voting for the one is voting to make the others pretty much inevitable.

And yes, I’m disgusted by the deflection, subterfuge and obfuscation by which Cruz has been trying to convince people that his vote for one isn’t, effectively, a vote for the other.

We can't stop ANYTHING in DC that only requires a majority. Enough votes can be bought off on any given issue to get it passed. And once it's passed, the pres can ignore the parts his puppetmasters don't like and the courts can veto anything that protects US citizens.

To try to sell us on "don't worry, a majority can stop it" here on FR is disingenuous at best. Probably closer to an arrogant insulting of our intelligence and level of awareness.
