That is not true.

We have now fallen to number two in exports to the globe, in my opinion that is directly because we import so much from China.

And here you are championing the union position. Are you a union guy who needs someone else to protect you from the unkind and competitive world out there?

I'll bet you are that kind of guy since you seem to want others to make your arguments for you.

Yet we continue to manufacture and export more than ever.

That is neat trick there. We use to manufacture amount A and now we manufacture amount B which is larger than A. But with out off shoring we would have manufactured amount C which is way larger the B. But C doesn't matter to you.

I don’t think you have the position to question me when you can’t answer whether lower prices are the results of the reasons I listed, or if it’s because other countries are better innovators than us, on average.

In other words, we are importing a lower standard of living. You can’t rebut it, so you’re basically changing the subject.

Reading comprehension. I said we continue to manufacture and export more and more. I never said we were the top exporter. Would you rather have our economy or that of China?

Oh, good grief. I said there are many reasons for lower prices. But the reasons don't really matter. Consumers will choose the products and services that provide the greatest benefit. Who are you to further empower government to manage/influence that process?

You made a statement that is unsupportable. I understand why you choose to ignore it. It is the lowest form of class warfare to assert that the middle class is being held back by the "ruling class." Additionally, it is the height of economic ignorance to suggest that higher taxes and more government influence over the economy will benefit the middle class.

Asking government to pick winners and losers to protect the middle class is crazy. Reagan who told us what the most terrifying words are "I'm from the Government, and I'm here to help." You're saying he's wrong. Good luck with that.

Telling the government to lower trade barriers to zero for slave made products is government interference also.

I would prefer we stop importing so much from China, and start to manufacture things right here in America once again.

America first.

You simply refuse to give conservative recommendations to help make that happen. Why is that?

Make the rest of the guys in the union angry at you?

Slaves get compensated for their labor? Who knew?

Some people, like most liberals, must cling to their foundational beliefs, no matter how ridiculous their supporting arguments become.

Forget solutions, repeating meaningless and benevolent bromides over and over is what this country really needs.

Feelings are what's important, not actions.

You made a statement that is unsupportable.

...

That’s your unsupported opinion, and your statement that the reasons for lower prices don’t matter is also unsupportable.

The fact is we have a declining standard of living, and the reason is some people put money before all else, such as yourself.

Cringing also refuses to recognize that the US is still #2 in manufacturing in the world, and not far behind #1. He seems to want the world to believe that we are #47 or something.

If you think trade is helping free China ....ask the people in Hong Kong.

This isn’t free trade, this is free profitable treason that destroys the people of America and helps the people of the rest of the world.

Good wages leave, good industry leaves, Hi tech jobs are given away to H1b visas by the hundreds of thousands, and millions of illegals take the entry level jobs....and our sons and daughters are told they need to go to college for 4 years so they can work at a coffee shop.

Was NAFTA good for U.S.?
