If you are a revolutionary marxist, you either get the military and police on your side, or you deball them...prior to the revolution.

In 1940, France had the most technologically advanced professionally trained and well equipped army in the world. But the state is was tasked with protecting was divided and had rotted from the inside. There was no real political leadership in a country that simply didn’t have the balls to fight and kill its enemy. France lost the war with Germany in five days, although the surrender took a while longer.
We are headed for an epic military disaster of the same magnitude for many of the same reasons.

The military is nothing more than another G-D jobs program to this narcissistic Marxist imposter. We don’t need no stinkin’ qualifications! If you try, if you participate, you’re in, baby! Bonus points given for minorities and deviants.
We need the army I served in 50 years ago.
The good news is that we have a model for a military that works. The bad news is that we no longer have anyone with the stones to implement it.
Hopefully some future iteration of our once-proud nation will put things right.
What is the likelihood of a military coup? What if the generals decide enough is enough and begin by arresting politicians and taking control of the government. It’s happened in other countries.

American culture began its decline into hedonistic decadence in the 1960’s. The election of Bill Clinton in 1992 was an important benchmark in the era. The deconstruction of America’s military bedrock began in his Administration. Obama was not elected and reelected in a social or cultural vacuum. Sadly few people alive today will live to witness a true American rebirth.
We need the army I served in 50 years ago.
