Rachel Dolezal, the president of the NAACP in Spokane, WA, announced in a statement Monday morning she is stepping down from her position.
Dolezal had come under fire in the last week amid criticism she lied about her ethnicity. She previously claimed her father was black. Her parents, Larry and Ruthanne Dolezal, said they were of European descent. They also provided a birth certificate from Montana affirming they were her her parents and that they were white.

If a birth certificate can determine your race, why shouldn't it also determine your gender?

Why do you have to be black in the first place? I know the CP means colored people, but unless your bylaws state that the leader *Must* be black (which is racist) there is no reason why someone who self identifies as a black person shouldn’t be their leader.

Pretty soon, we will find out what monetary benefits she has reaped for being “black”. Bet the NAACP has been paying her a ridiculous amount.
There are other opportunities. She is a college prof somewhere and a good investigation will probably find that she has received various benefits by characterizing herself and maybe swearing that she is black.

Is it true that her parents adopted 4 black children? If so she would have been raised in a predominately black household. She attended Howard University, a black College. What influenced her self concept?
