Ben Carson is not a career politician he is a Medical Doctor by trade. Carly Fiorina is a business woman. Good starts?

He might have an occasional good one-liner, but he’s not qualified for the office of President. Besides, after his whopper on gun control, I’m not biting even if he instantly becomes otherwise qualified.

That said, he does have genuine appeal face to face.

The not Ivy League comment also leans towards Scott Walker who has been sandpapered as "Not even a college graduate". That isn't a constitutional requirement to be president.
First, he is brilliant —a gifted neurosurgeon who developed surgical techniques for separating conjoined twins, joined at the head.so the person on this thread who said he was “competent in medicine” needs to read up. At 33 he was the youngest head of a division at John Hopkins University.
Second, he is principled with Christian and conservative values.
Third, he believes in America. He believes in hard work. Nothing was handed to him and he understands the value of striving for a goal.
This man is eminently qualified. if he wins the nomination, he has my vote.
What this poll shows is that power is lying on the ground. History tells us that someone is bound to come along and pick it up.
I think Carson is a brilliant person with some interesting ideas, but I don’t believe he’s ready to be president of the United States. I don’t remember anyone in recent history that has been elected president without at least some experience in politics.
You’re a good doctor, but politics is a bit over your head.
