Hannity On Trade: GOP Leadership ‘Selling Out American Sovereignty’
Daily Caller ^ | 5:27 PM 06/17/2015 | Al Weaver

Posted on 06/17/2015 3:53:11 PM PDT by xzins

Sean Hannity tore apart GOP leadership for continuing their push to give President Barack Obama Trade Promotion Authority (TPA) as the House looks to set up a vote as early as this week on the legislation.

On his Wednesday program, Hannity said House Speaker John Boehner and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnel are “selling out American sovereignty,” adding that the secrecy of the bill shows those two and the Obama administration doesn’t “care what we think.”

“In spite of all the calls, I’m being told, going into Congress — like 30 to 1, they’re still pushing [TPA] anyway because they don’t care what we think,” Hannity said.

“The [Obama] administration, and Boehner, and McConnell, they’re selling out American sovereignty,” Hannity said. “The TPA will have sweeping authority over trade, immigration, environmental, labor, and commerce regulations.”

“We had Jeff Sessions on the program — this is what he was warning you. We had Congressman Duncan Hunter on, this is what he was warning us,” Hannity continued. “He said ‘if you adopt the fast-track, Congress would be formally authorizing the president to finalize the creation of this Pacific Union, and will have surrendered its legislative prerogatives.'”

“This is before a line, a word, a paragraph, a page of the plan is made public—the very things that Republicans swore that they would not do,” Hannity railed. “You know, Orrin Hatch admitted, ‘well, I don’t fully know what’s in it myself.’ Well then why are you promoting the fast-track for something that you don’t know what’s going to be in this thing?”

I’m nor here to bash any particular candidate.

But supporting Obamatrade is a sell-out of American sovereignty.

If our favorite candidate happens to support it, he’s wrong. No one is perfect; but there is no reason for us to pretend this is good just because people we like have signed on.

After two terms of Clintonian corruption, I was so happy to have GW in the White House. But that never stopped any of us from attacking him when he was wrong.

I just sent a pretty direct letter to my congressman over his just announced support for TPA. Told him he was a quasi-conservative, basically selling out the middle class. Will I see the black helicopters tonight?

He won’t he’s in the Reserves . I don’t think he should, we will need loyal Americans in the mil when the stuff hits the fan. I think the fast majority is loyal, but the stars are loyal to the NWO.

If he votes against it, I’m ok with that. If he’s absent, then he’s just doing a Barry Obama.

What part of stupid plan does America not understand?”

You need to insert “Republicans” for “America”.

“And yet Donald Trump is making a farce out of the Republican party, right?”

All the candidates are talking, right? So could you list some things that Trump is saying that is making a farce out of the Republican party? What he is saying is offending the right people, as far as I am concerned.

Interesting. Still, he’s already shown where his instincts lie, and they aren’t with the middle and working classes.

I listened to what he said yesterday and found nothing I disagreed with. Yet the pundit class claims he is making a farce out of it, so I guess it must be true.

PS. That last part was sarcasm, since so many here don’t recognize it when they read it.

Okay, I didn’t read close enough. I am still a bit cranky from reading Williamsons’s hit piece.

Some of us actually research and some parrot the pundits. There is nothing in TPA itself that sells out the country, but you’ll never get many on here to read it for themselves. One ding dong in particular keeps saying it is a secret.

Yeah, it would be awful if we got rid of the regulations and high corporate taxes , as well as Obamacare that has caused so much of our manufacturing and businesses to move overseas.

Will still vote for Cruz over Hillary, but Ted needs to start listening to American business owners. Not corporate lawyers. Has Ted ever produced a product for sale? Has he ever tried to market and distribute that product ? Has he done so for 10 to 20 years while facing foriegn competition ? If he has not, than he knows nothing about this issue as it relates to Americans.

If it is a bad bill he needs to do more then vote against it, he needs to do everything he can to stop it.

Really something isn’t it? FReepers siding with the muslim Barry, Hillary and their globalist puppet master’s desires for UN managed gun control, climate change and ‘trade’ deals.

I am sorry, but not all are bad. Some FReepers are just misguided or blinded.

The Founders did not want anything that could harm the underpinnings of this nation to be easy to implement. That is why certain functions require a 2/3 majority.

Treaties are one such thing because history has shown agreements between governments to be a source of war, destruction and servitude to other nations.

None will ever convince me that trade deals are not treaties. The nations we enter into these with call them treaties. International Law calls these treaties.

It is only to fool our citizens, that we call them something else.

If you oppose redefining marriage to include same sex couples, then you should oppose redefining treaties as congressional-executive agreements.
