Dylann Storm Roof was arrested in Lexington county a couple of months ago.
He was arrested on drug charges.

See where you are coming from on this I believe but I disagree with the overall conclusion. They are white male. Left has use for that.

Lyrica acts on some of the same pathways as GBH, gabapentin and many antidepressants. My own mum discovered she couldn’t take the drug. However, most likely these are just out and out drug reactions that a few folks just go thru like yourself.
The psychotic reactions I’m talking about occur across the wide range of antidepressants, not just SSRI’s.(these psychotic effects or enhanced feelings of suicide was also noted with the old tricyclics and MAO’s as well. These are thought to be related to the emotional “mood lifting or elevating effects of the drugs”.) That is why some anti-depressants are also being paired with or designed chemically with anti-psychotic drugs or elements so that while the depression lifts, one does not become psychotic at the same time!
Well, somebody will have destroyed it!

But they are fundamentally different. We were taught RIGHT from WRONG based on a morality that was passed down through the generations. We trusted our parents and grandparents to tell us what was right and wrong.
My grandfather had a glass front gun cabinet with no lock and 27 grandchildren. He died in 1982. My grandmother died in 2001. By then, my cousins and I were all in our late 30’s to late 50’s and most of us were in the house one night talking. Today, kids are taught by their parents that they are the center of the universe. Every time a parent jumps up and runs when the kid calls to demand a pickup or some last minute class project, their superiority is reinforced. You can’t teach them right from wrong because they get to decide for themselves. They laugh at our “black and white” morals.
Well if he was diagnosed early I have some concerns about how certain drugs(if he was given them) may mold a young man’s later life, especially if he was wrongly diagnosed and never needed the drugs in the first place!
I have a suspicion this guy thinks he was living in South Africa. JMO.
Those games taught kids to shoot bad guys in the name of truth and justice.
Today’s games teach kids to run over cops and sleep with hookers, as in GTA.
Another crazy white guy. Why is it almost always a white buy? I can’t even remember the last time a black guy was the perp in one of these mass murders.
I think a black fella tried one in Texas a couple weeks ago. He got popped right away. Some black guy shot up a Navy facility a year or so ago I think.
All I know is it scared the hell out of me and my family.

I have always thought that targeting the violence in movies, video games and music was primarily a distraction from the issue of lack of fathers and viable male role models. Bringing this up nowadays gets you tarred as an anti woman monster faster than you can blink, and so everything else is targeted to keep us from thinking about it.
Some of those who think video games are part of the problem seem to think full contact sports and letting young boys do anything remotely considered traditional for young boys is also part of the problem and want more action taken to make them “less patriarchal”.
If you’ve seen the South Park Sarcastaball episode, you would likely know what I mean - and, as I noted, that some of the opponents of violent video seem to actually advocate for that kind of stuff.
Huh. The only thing video games ever taught me was better hands/eye coordination.
But then, again, as many have implied here, my parent’s teachings were far more powerful than any outside influence.
