Whoa! So now this arrogant, dictatorial pope thinks he - through his spokesmen, in this case the liberal African Cardinal Turkson - can now give orders to Catholic politicians? And about something that has nothing to do with Catholic faith or morals?

There is NO MAN MADE CLIMATE CHANGE!

The Vatican has no authority or expertise in this area, so quit demanding compliance.

Wow....maybe American need to start telling the Vatican who can and cannot be selected as pope...

If the Vatican wants to stick their nose in American politics... That’s fair game...

“Sorry we took poll and you can’t pick this person for the next pope”

It's a good thing The Vatican wasn't around when God was increasing the sea levels.

Great point.

The Pope needs to read the Bible.

He is being taken to the mountain top and shown the whole world.

he needs to be reminded -

For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?

Yeah, the Roman Catholic Church (which I want to distinguish here from the Roman Catholic faith) is turning itself into an absolute joke.

Bush could do himself a real favor here by telling the Church to go pound same until Pelosi, Biden et al are “reprimanded” for their promotion of conflicting beliefs on matters the Church says are MUCH more serious.

It wouldn’t get him my vote, but it would pull many others in his direction.

Obviously, this is prideful and arrogant - but if the Pope and others involved in this repent, then I will grant them my absolution for this sin.

Especially this part...
Acts 17:11
Now the Berean Jews were of more noble character than those in Thessalonica, for they received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures every day to see if what Paul said was true.

The assumption here, though, is that the authority of the bible is above the authority of the Church and the Pope. And I don’t think they honestly believe that.

What did you think was going to be the result of this hand in hand effort between the Marxists and the Vatican?

Oh, but it’s all...different...now. What a change hath Bergoglio wrought.

And not for the better.

The Pope switched to Gaia worship. He joined their religion. No conflict if the religion is theirs.

Besides, the Vatican is a state. With a throne and crown.

Who is “The Vatican”? The pope, right?

It looks to me like the headline could just as accurately have read:

“The Pope to Jeb: Listen to the pope on climate change”.
