Dear Comrade Rove, it is so good to see you at last come out of the closet and show your real party line. It must be liberating to throw off the Republic and freedom for the betterment of the party.
Make alcoholic beverages illegal, that will fix it
Make heroin illegal, that will fix it
Make marijuana illegal, that will fix it
Make alien border jumping illegal, that will fix it
Make driving without a license illegal, that will fix it

WHat Karl Rove said was not in defense of 2A, it was leaving an opening for the left to go after 2A because we all see that the left has already usurped the Constitution numerous times with the help of Karl Rove Republicans on things like Obamacare. Karl is taking the weakest position possible, and throwing out repealing 2A with a tyrannical POTUS and a do nothing Congress...this is totally unacceptable reply by him to even sit there and say “until somebody gets enough “oomph”. Until? How about NEVER?

If the second amendment was done away with, then it would be legal to take people’s weapons - everyone’s weapons; every time a weapon was used, it would be destroyed. Eventually, just like England (with one exception), there would be no weapons in the country. That was the gist of Rove’s statement.
My son has lived in England for over 25 years. The only weapons there belong to “gentlemen” who own a lot of property, an estate - they are allowed to have a hunting rifle and he has been to such an estate and gone hunting with these “gentlemen”.
Good point. He's signalling that Obama can simply issue an Executive Order, ordering confiscation, and the Second Democrat Party, the GOP, will simply shrug and smile and say, "Wish we could do something about that.... sorry about your luck...."

Seriously, if there was ANY chance ANY 3rd party candidate having a chance, it might be worth a try, but as reality comes crashing back down on us we are reminded it is but a dream. Anyone who does not vote, has no right to later bitch.

I was going to say, maybe he’s just saying what we say here: If you want to “control guns” completely, you’re gonna have to repeal the 2nd!
So looking at the statement in context:

The paranoia on FR is a foot deep. There will be no executive orders or changes in the constitution and at least half the country (along with Rove) knows that.
It is typical BS liberal talking points that gun laws will fix things and Rove is simply saying it will not work.

The only LEGAL firearms, perhaps. But there are still a lot of firearms, and a nearly uncountable number of weapons.
On a thread where Jeb’s right hand advocates abolishing the 2A, you declare you would vote for Jeb.
You deserve the chains you forge for yourself.
So what’s your solution as an option?
I get a kick out of people saying how bad our government is....that all politicians are corrupted....then the push to be a non-voter steps right into line.....EXACTLY as the Demorats want.
If you don’t vote your non-vote counts for the winner regardless....the Demorats are counting on such.
Laz, there is no hope for these people. Just make sure you keep any like them at a distance when the liberals come for them. Do not under any circumstances try saving them from their actions. They clearly know better than we do.
