No, I don’t think so, I don’t think I ever knew they were different words. I’m a pretty bad speller, I’m sure I’ve read that word a million times and just never realized it was different.
What is the reference, to be going over something in minute detail? I always thought it meant going over something with great intensity, you know, like pouring rain.
I have a good vocabulary and I’d say I was embarrassed not to know this, but I’m just so surprised I can’t feel bad about it.
