It's a relief that South Carolina leaders, including Republicans such as Gov. Nikki Haley and Sen. Lindsey Graham, are finally calling for the removal of the Confederate flag that still flies on the Capitol grounds.
That flag should have been taken down 150 years ago at the end of the Civil War. And political leaders should have stood firmly against the Confederate flag -- and all it stands for -- before the Charleston shooting.
While the Confederate flag is a powerful and problematic symbol, one that should completely be dismantled, taking down the flag is just the first step. What we must do is take down racism

Of course it’s not enough. But then again, this was never about a flag, was it?
This is very predictable. The liberals are now.moving the goal posts. Now that they are cleansing us of the Confederate flag, it sets the stage for further actions.
The goal.posts are being moved. The liberals are still pissed off. Don’t think you can ever placate them. If you give in to today’s demands, all it does is set the stage for the next set of demands.

I want to know, why did the Democrats raise the flag in the first place in SC?
Oh wait, I know. I believe it was Fritz Holland (D-SC) who did it, and he did to inflame racial tensions. And now the Democrats wish to lower it to inflame racial tensions.
They have pretty much one trick in their playbook.
The flag is a symbol of racism in the same way the completion of the Monroe Doctrine is a symbol of xenophobic, genocidal, racism.
While we can’t try the original actors with crines against humanity, we can remove the inheritance of white privelege, returning lands like california, Arizona, Texas, et al to the native peoples, whose dignity, culture and language have been all but erased, before they too become an extinct peoples...

Community Organizer and crew are laughing their rears off. They started the marbles rolling in Ferguson and in Baltimore and now it is spreading throughout the south.
So far (mostly Republican) politicians in Virginia, Kentucky, South Carolina and Mississippi are clambering to get rid of anything confederate for fear they will be accused of racism.
Little marbles have turned into boulders rolling down hill.
