That said, I love Johnson & Johnson - great performing stock.

For now, maybe. Not once they piss off half their consumers and shareholders.

You can buy generic acetaminophen for a fraction of the cost.

And those are usually made by the big name manufacturers.

From The Odd Couple:

“Told you 158 times I can’t stand little notes on my pillow. “We’re all out of cornflakes. F.U.” Took me three hours to figure out F.U. was Felix Ungar!”

J&J is saying FU.

The homo-promo Expedia ad on Fox has made me switch channels. Between the gut wrenching veterans fund raising ads, mesothelioma ads, and childrens’ fund raisings ads, Fox has become too depressing to watch.

No more Coke if you can help it? How often do you find yourself forced at gunpoint to drink a carbonated beverage?

Are you sure you’re not thinking of S. C. Johnson & Company, aka Johnson Wax?

More of a habit than anything else I guess. Carbonated beverages can be a little addicting to some folks.

I don't know why anybody would buy the name brand version of an over-the-counter drug.

We usually stick with ibuprofen (and me because of the wine issue also ; ) ), but sometimes we just have to use acetominofen. I’m a huge fan of Hyland’s Teething Tabs for that issue, though. They work beautifully, help baby sleep, have no contraindications, and zero complications. We try to use more natural products, but sometimes we just have to bite the bullet and use the not so natural.

So, when pedophilia becomes mainstreamed, Tylenol will have an Advertising campaign for that, too.

Their hope is it will become mainstream to get rid of all the pain and soreness it will cause.

As the makers of TYLENOL®, we celebrate the rights and freedoms of all people,

Great, Johnson & Johnson, I look forward to your next Tylenol ad with the actors waving Confederate flags!

You gave up Coca Cola. Years ago I gave up Snickers bars among many other things. The TV shows that we watch are down to a handful. Pretty soon there will be nothing left.

Never buy name brand Tylenol products. Buy generic. Works just the same.

I thought J & J was advertised as a proud “family” company?

You are thinking of SC Johnson, whose advertising tagline is "A Family Company." It is a relatively small home cleaning products company.

The company that makes Tylenol® is Johnson&Johnson, a huge multinational corporation that makes a wide variety of medical and personal care products.

These companies have looong since lost their fear of this kind of social activism. Not a single company has ever felt a significant enough impact from doing this. All bark, not bite in your suggestion I’m afraid.

I used to use tylenol too but have since I found out that it does havoc to your liver. No use for it. I actually use a prescription medicine now for headaches.

I just sent this response:

Dear Traci H.,

When will the Tylenol commercial be out showing a Muslim man burning to death his daughter because she was raped? This fits in with your policy outlined in your canned response: “regardless of gender, race, religion or sexual orientation.”

I will update all of you if I get a response.

They are a huge multi-national, and a very large percentage of their business is medical devices and supplies, such as sterile drapes, hospital gowns, sutures, antiseptics, etc. Those items are purchased by the boatload by hospital corporations. Lotsa luck with your boycott—although it will be noticed by a middle-level product manager way down the line for one quarter, if millions of people also join you.

Control and governance is ALWAYS by a minority. The key is to identify them. For example, governance in America today is by a few individuals not really well known to the public.

I can’t take Ibeuprofen because of taking blood thinners. Same with aspirin.

So I get the store brand acetaminophen. Don’t think I have ever purchased the Tylenol brand name product.
