Love Her Or Hate Her, Ann Coulter Warned Us About John Roberts 10 Years Ago
Pajamas Media ^ | 06/26/2015 | by Stephen Kruiser

After conservatives took another gut punch from black-robed Obamacare cheerleader Chief Justice John Roberts, many of us were left wondering just what in the heck is wrong with this guy. After all, these Republican appointees to the Supreme Court are supposed to be on our side, right? They can’t all be David Souter.

It turns out that Ann Coulter sniffed another Souter-esque betrayal in the offing ten years ago:

After pretending to consider various women and minorities for the Supreme Court these past few weeks, President Bush decided to disappoint all the groups he had just ginned up and nominate a white male.

So all we know about him for sure is that he can’t dance and he probably doesn’t know who Jay-Z is. Other than that, he is a blank slate. Tabula rasa. Big zippo. Nada. Oh, yeah … We also know he’s argued cases before the Supreme Court. Big deal; so has Larry Flynt’s attorney.

But unfortunately, other than that that, we don’t know much about John Roberts. Stealth nominees have never turned out to be a pleasant surprise for conservatives. Never. Not ever.

I know it is all the rage in this era of hypersensitive feelings for some conservatives, and almost all moderate Republicans, to bristle at everything Coulter says and be dismissive of her because she has a knack for tossing out an outrageous headline-grabbing comment. Here’s the thing about her: she’s right a lot of the time.

Sure, I’ve got to deduct a lot of points for her flip-flop to become a Romney champion in 2012 but a lot of people were drunk on wishful thinking then (present company excluded). Other than that, she makes a lot of sense.

So maybe pay just a little more attention to her from now on.

And pray that Antonin Scalia lives to be 148.

When she's right, she's super-duper right.

I’m pretty sure the only thing she was ever wrong about was Romney.

makes total sense.

Leftist appointees, such as ginsberg, sotomayor and kagan have their obvious leftist bona-fides. Its obvious for all to see, and its why they were selected by Clinton and Obama.

For some reason it seems Republicans are still scarred from Kennedy’s assassination of Robert Bork.

And Christie.

To add fuel to Ann’s analysis, we have about 30 minutes before his vote for gay marriage is announced.

There were some FREEPERS who warned others about him too, but of course they were called RINOs and other nasty names. When some love a person, there is no constructive criticism allowed. That has been a trend on many politicians until it is found out that those criticizing was actually right but by then it is too late.

"...these Republican appointees to the Supreme Court are supposed to be on our side, right?"

No. It may seem like a minor quibble, but "republican appointees to the supreme court", like ALL appointees to the supreme court, are supposed to be on the side of the United States Constitution. Very often that is the same thing as being "on our side (the side of republicans)", but not always. However, the fact that our politicized supreme court is quite often NOT on the side of the Constitution is a major source of our current troubles.

With that out of the way, yes, Ann Coulter was definitely right about Roberts.

A white male who did pro bono work for homosexual activists. Really, not a tough call here.

Yes. Republicans never have a problem in voting for hard core Leftists to gain immense power. Democrats would NEVER vote for a provable Conservative. The Democrats have pwned the Republicans for decades.

Maybe if she hadn’t behaved so irrationally about Harriet Myers, we WOULD have a conservative on the Supreme Court. Maybe not, but her behavior during this period was insane.

And she still is. She was pimping for him this morning on our local talk show, literally to the point of wanting to draft him for 2016. Her dream ticket is Romney/Walker (I’m not kidding). And apparently she’s off Rubio now, because of her new book.

Bork is a non sequitur. The GOP has a horrible track record period. The GOP’s record of justices Pre-Senator Kennedy contained many judicial defects. The problem is not Democrat “assassins”, seems to go much deeper than that. Namely a lack of a unified purpose and resolve. Also who doomed Bork? 3 Republican Senators, not the Kennedy “boogeyman”.

I heard her on the radio this morning. She is in love with Romney. There is no other explanation for her to keep pushing him when he is not even running and he is such a phony baloney. Has to be love.
