NEW YORK — New York City businesses could soon need to convert some of their bathrooms to gender-neutral facilities.
The legislation comes after a report by Stringer’s office found that transgender people experience harassment in public bathrooms. Advocates say it is a common-sense step to tackling gender bias and harassment.
New York’s proposal follows similar measures in Philadelphia, West Hollywood and the District of Columbia.

Tell me about it, I grew up in that cesspool and finally got smart and moved 4 years ago. I just couldn’t take it any more. I don’t care what anyone says, there is no bigger cesspool of liberals than NYC. When people try to argue by pointing out places like Boston or San Fran, I like to tell them “Hey, NYC has a hardcore blatant communist for Mayor, a guy who openly worships Castro, Stalin and Mao, a guy who physically supported the Sandinistas. Case closed.”
You won’t need gender neutral bathrooms in Houston. Our dyke mayor says you can use any bathroom you “feel like” using on a given day.
There will be those who will hang out at the ladies bathroom and wait for a hottie to go in. Hopefully, she’ll have a real man for a boyfriend or husband and he’ll kick some ass.
Actually, I don’t care. Unisex bathrooms in many cases are safer for women, since there will be non-criminal men in there. And it cuts down on gay male activity, at the same time (since gay men are the only people in the universe who seem to like to hang out around public bathrooms).
Keep them clean, because even transvestites probably piddle off the mark...
When I was in high school if some guy decided he’d go into the girls’ locker room chances are one or more of the girls would have told their boyfriends and he wouldn’t going in there again.
Women? As a man, I reserve the right to take a crap in a men’s restroom in peace.
My local gas station has had one for as long as I can remember. But they have a one-at-a-time rule.
Good point! Maybe sitting in some guy’s urine will help women realize elections have consequences.
On the other hand, as long as she can kill her baby, she's happy.
Now same sex spouses can go in together.
Individual toilet room with locking doors and a minisink, like an airplane lav only big enough that a person could actually use it in comfort. A bank of these would take up less space than a cavernous crapper with lots of wasted space, and could be cleaned one at a time with closing or unconvincing. Best of all, gay action would be impossible.
Multiple problems solved.
Think of all the overtime for the plumbers!

I go into a unisex bathroom that has no urinal them I’m probably going to piss all over the closet toilette seat.
