I’ve often wondered about this, how no “analysts” or talking heads ever seem to notice this fact,
If you and I and all of Texas, Louisiana and Oklahoma wanted to stand up and form an army to fight for our freedoms, we wouldn’t have a prayer of getting any kind of meaningful modern warfare armaments to fight and defend ourselves with,
And yet in the middle east, again and again those demonic ISIS spirits just as they need it, low and behold it appears right before them, all courtesy of Obama,

I think if a war were to break out we’d find “supplies” being delivered to us. It is why gold and silver are extremely important as that is the form of payment expected by arms dealers. US dollars currently are expected but G&S is the alternative, and will be expected, when the dollar collapses. I once was part of an operation to transport $1 million US (for legal payroll purposes), but we brought gold as well. The foreign “intermediary” chose the gold. I expect gold and silver to be adequate forms of payment.

I would agree with you in the general historical usage,
However I believe that once the US dollar does fully collapse (whenever that may be in the future) that we’ll use that to quickly move to some basket of currencies and require numbers to buy and sell (ala 666 mark of the beast style computer technology and accounting)
That new system, likely coming as a result of some orchestrated dramatic event, will have the effect of marginalizing those left standing outside of it, help will be hard to come by beyond a gutsy and brave remnant that wont care if their own 401K millions are lost to it, they fully understand its already game over,
Gold and silver wont help us when that day arrives, but your correct, before that time comes it certainly will,
All just my conjecturing,
The Pentagon should start thinking about it’s role in an nnconstitutional Federal Government at home.
