I’m in for much longer than one day or one month.

I would like to suggest, instead of a boycott, a general consumer slowdown. Buy second hand from local consignment stores and garage sales, shop for school items at Hobby Lobby, buy food from farmer’s markets as much as possible. For now we shop at Dollar General and Aldi’s and by their store brand as much as possible. We eat out locally owned restaurants. I’ve not been to Wal Mart in over a month and when I do go, I mostly get the thing I came after and then leave. I also buy sale items as much as possible so that their profit from me is minimal. Our home is paid for and we pay off our credit cards monthly. On the other hand, I spent $40 on some home décor at Hobby Lobby just the other day—just because I thought it was cute and it made me happy!

I posted what you posted years ago. Amen to what you commented.

Conservatives don't know how to organize an effective boycott and never have...and if they did, it's like herding cats to get them to stick to "the plan".

As you posted above, IC, you have to boycott one (really radical) retail company at a time for 6 months. Then go on to another, and another, and don't let up. And a dedicated leader is necessary to keep the boycott alive and kicking.

This is a tall order, but kinda fun in a way to watch results after the first boycott sets in for a while.

Boycotts can work if the participants are disciplined and serious about what they're doing and stick to the plan....and are able to keep their shopping/purchasing urges under control.

A tall order, indeed.

We don't need a "list". We need one business name. One date for a boycott doesn't work, either. It's just spinning wheels. See my post #64 above.

Agreed. Target one. Put all our efforts into it.

Rubbish to you who think boycotts don’t work..
If enough are selective about where they spend their hard earned dollars, business notices...
Case in point: JC Penney
The left does it all the time and business bows...
You just have to believe there are more of us than of them.

We need to use the tactics of the left, only ten-fold. Have you heard Rush talk about having uncovered the ‘Twitter Sewer”, the 5-10 people who respond to things that outrage THEM with emails and tweets, only using algorithms that make them look like 10-15 THOUSAND different outraged people? It's time we get some of those algos ourselves, where we can make 10,000 Christians look like 15 MILLION. That would give us a chance to let the business community see that there are more of us, which there actually are - a LOT more.
