Good evening, Ms Feather...*hugs*...a medic doing their job. She did it very well under a LOT of pressure.

Rescuing the Reluctant June 29, 2015
The men took hold of his hand, . . . the Lord being merciful to him, and they . . . set him outside the city.
Genesis 19:16
Many years ago during a water safety class, we were taught how to save a drowning person who is resisting rescue. Approach the person from behind, the instructor told us. Place one arm across the persons chest and flailing arms, and swim toward safety. If you approach from the front, the person may grab you and pull both of you down. Panic and fear can paralyze the ability to think and act wisely.
When two angels sent by God came to rescue Lot and his family from the impending destruction of the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah (Gen. 19:12-13), they encountered resistance. Lots sons-in-law thought the warning was a joke (v. 14). When the angels told Lot to hurry and leave, he hesitated (v. 15). At that point, the two angels took hold of his hand, his wifes hand, and the hands of his two daughters, and led them safely out of the city because God was merciful toward them (v. 16).
When we reflect on our journey of faith in Christ, we can see Gods faithfulness in overcoming our reluctance and resistance. When we encounter people lashing out in spiritual desperation and fear, may we have Gods wisdom to show His love to themand to every person who is reluctant to be rescued by Him.
Father, as I look at my own heart, I know I have resisted You and have been reluctant at times to come to You. Thank You for Your mercy. Help me to share with others who You are.
Gods mercy can overcome our resistance.

I work Monday, Wednesday and Thursday, due to the hot weather, ice, soda and beer are the biggest sellers.
Have a great short week!

55 homes burned down in the dog mushing community of Willow, north of me, past Wasilla; lots of outbuilding and mushing equipment destroyed. All dogs got out safely. Tight knit community and LOTS of volunteers.
A couple major fires to the south on the Kenai (key-nigh) peninsula. And hundreds of lightning strike fires in the interior beyond Willow and up to Fairbanks.

Rehab would show her how to handle life back at home.
Hope she heals quickly and can get home.

Good evening, Luv....another day would be nice. I guess I will have to settle for Friday off. Fridays are nice because the heavy days are over and we don’t lose a Monday and only have 2 days for 3 days work.
Is the 4th a big day for you at work?
Reading about Monica Brown was really interesting. Those medics sure do good work under horrible pressures. God Bless them all.

Nah, the 4th is a slow day for us. It’s not a jewelry holiday and everyone is gearing up for the local fireworks. We even close early for that reason.
I’m glad you’ll have some time off! You need it AND deserve it!

Morning to ya Beachie!
Well, it was an incredibly HOT weekend, 113 on Saturday, with a little cool down coming.
It was pretty much stay inside this weekend, although I had to rescue son and give his car a jump due to a dead battery. He's leaving tomorrow for a 10 day Missions trip to Haiti.
I'm working today, Wednesday and Thursday this week and then off again.
Have a Mahvelous day!
